Ruby’s recommendations were on point; so get crab-encrusted redfish and the local amber ales from the bottle. He made a great Sazerac as well. Give that man a raise, his service exceeded expectations. Would definitely come back.

Did you know you can get Antoine’s gumbo (and many other menu items)without eating at Antiones? We love Hermes Bar! I would have given 5 stars for atmosphere too, but there was a really loud abnoxious group and no one else could have a conversation. Services is always 10/10 and cocktails are expertly made.

I have lived in the Quarter for years. Apparently I have been getting confused between the Hermes bar and the French 75 for a while. Both are amazing. With that said, the service and the food and the ambiance that we had here was fantastic. They did so many “New Orleans” things slightly differently and every bit as good, if not better. This place is in my new rotation and I am excited to go back.

Enjoy the classics of the restaurant next door without the pomp and circumstance. The bartenders here are excellent, they make solid drinks and are super friendly. I’ve been having a sazerac everywhere I go, and this bar made the best one I’ve had anywhere in the city so far.
Food was great too. My highlights were the oysters and the potatoes. Tried the 2-2-2 oyster plate which features cooked oysters with various preparations and toppings. The soufflé potatoes are also a must.

First off , our bartender / server Shi … with an I , she was amazing. Exceptional service, even brought us warmed wet hand towels after i mentioned that we just took the trolley across town. The drinks were well crafted and balanced , especially the pear martini. Oysters Rockefeller were good for the first time , nice light and smooth blended topping , baked but not scalding hot , served on a bed of rock salt.

Fantastic service from our bartender; super attentive, friendly, and even made several custom cocktails for us based on our preferences. We closed our tab, and ended up reopening as we were so comfortable and enjoying the vibe!! The chicken cordon blue sliders, and the andouille sausage and mustard, were the perfect pairing to a Sazerac…when in NOLA!

This was a great spot for a bottle of wine and some good food. Randall at the bar took great care of my friend and I as we tried a few appetizers and some Pompano. The Chargrilled Oysters were delicious and the Pompano was light and well prepared. The soufflé potatoes- those were a miss, no seasoning and served with what I think was a butter that had some parsley but no seasoning. Overall a great find and the oldest family owned restaurant in the country as it is attached to Antoine’s.
