Food, family & history here. We all go way back and it’s a great place for a bite of real home cooked food. Lots of memories. A landmark here in Fayetteville and a must if you haven’t yet.

I’m from out of town. I’ve heard about this place for awhile.. I must say my first impression was over the top. The decor and the ambience is spot on. The whole entire staff is polite and engaging and friendly. If you are around this area and don’t stop by then you missed what LOVE IN THE KITCHEN is all about. They bring the passion and the desire to please everyone that dines in here. I want to say Thank you for passion and the culinary experience that you delivered…must continued success. No one will be disappointed.

A historic Fayetteville landmark exhibiting many Decades of prominent individuals. I love the Nostalgia and the infamous crackers and salsa with a cold beer. Thank you Nick and family for keeping this tradition Rose.

The steak was absolutely the best steak I’ve ever had in my life!! I got the tenderloin and you could’ve cut it with a spoon, that’s how tender it was!! It melted in my mouth! I always use steak sauce but not with this one! It would’ve ruined the steak!

This is a hole in the wall place which is AWESOME! As you can see in the pics, they ate most of it before I could get good pics! The only thing is, bring CASH! The service charge is not something you want added to your bill. Other than that the place is awesome!!

Herman’s wasn’t open but a mutual friend of the owner, Nick, arranged for us to have a look. So much history in this building. The restaurant was founded by Herman Tuck, the first drummer for Ronnie Hawkins’ Hawks. Walls covered in memorabilia from the many performers, celebrities and politicians (ugh) that have been through. By all accounts it has the best ribs. We need a return visit when it is open to verify this .

Hands down, the worst place we’ve ever eaten. All our meals came with 1 side, but they charged us $5 a piece for them. My ribs had no flavor, dry, and burnt. Our regular sodas/ teas were $3 each. I’ve never been to a restaurant that serves crackers and salsa?!?! Not to mention, they argued with me saying that our 2 teenagers were sharing a 10oz steak, but they were supposed to have their own steak. They lady came to bring a plate and got huffy expecting my daughter to reach across the table and grab the plate from her, but she acted petty and wouldn’t extend her arm to hand her the plate. Our bill was $387 after tax and with the 3.99% card charge, it came out to $402. All I can say is please, don’t ever go here. It is a gigantic waste of money. The only good thing about this place was the young man that refilled our kids’ drinks. He made sure they weren’t empty and he was very kind.

So, I ordered a ribeye and, based on the tough chew, shape of cut, and almost total lack of fat, was served a New York Strip. Funny thing is that it tasted amazing, flavorwise, but it was tough. Unfortunately, my waiters didn’t check back until I was almost finished, and I simply didn’t want to send a steak that cost $67 back. The rib was really good, but after my experience with the steak, I wasn’t returning. Simply overpriced and not what I was expecting.
