The customer service was wonderful! The show room or bakery display area was clean and well kept. Parking was free but space is limited. I really loved that the chocolate covered strawberries were made to order. So they weren’t sitting in a display case all day.

I gave this store a 3 because they need some renovations. I understand of nostalgia and holding onto what made them famous, but a little renovation won’t hurt. Besides the renovations, it did have an old building odor, which if you’re new (like me) it’s very off putting. The desserts were nice looking and rich, I got a slice rather slither of carrot and double chocolate cake, both for a total $8. I’ll say if you like strawberry shortcake this is the place for you because they had a bunch of those lol. They had a case for italian cookies and other pastries like donut and danishes.

It’s been a couple of years since I brought anything from here, it’s really on the other side of town for me. My daughter’s birthday was in three days and I need a cake bad but didn’t have the time to order in person. The young lady I talked to was extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to order the cake over the phone, payment was taken over the phone and she allowed me to text her a picture of what I wanted. I am so grateful!!!! The cake was beautiful, tasted great and my daughter loved it!!! Thanks again, will be ordering soon.

The marshmallow donuts are to die for. The pastries are very fresh and the Strawberry Shortcake was soooo good. However, the Marshmallow Donuts are the absolute best.

I love their marshmallow donuts because they’re the best, plus there’s none around my way. And thing I love best is the apple crumb pie. It is so delicious, but sometimes they run out really fast so one or two or whatever. You’ll love them

I have been going here since I was a little boy. I used to get doughnuts here with my grandmother all the time when she lived on Wynbrook road. Before tonight the last time I was there was in 2013 and all these years later it is still amazing. I got one of their chocolate sprinkled doughnuts while I was there and it was delicious.

This is my childhood favorite place to go so I had to visit today during my trip from Florida. I was so happy to see so many people showing this historic establishment. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to visit to support the wonderful deserts. You will not be let down! There is plenty of parking, a very friendly and helpful staff, specials on desserts, balloons, custom make cakes and so much more.

YOU GOT TO CHECK OUT HERMAN’S I’VE ALWAYS HEARD! LOL SOOOOOOO……we FINALLY visited here ! after passing by here so MANY times over the YEARS ! and NOW living in the AREA, we decided to FINALLY stop by AND SEE WHAT ALL THE FUSS WAS ABOUT! it happened to be MY MOM’S FAVORITE PLACE CONSEQUENTLY ! AND She also HADN’T been here in MANY years AS WELL ! so of course, she was VERY EXCITED ! She’s been talking about how she’s been wanting to get to Herman’s bakery now ever since we moved over here 6 months ago ! So INTO Herman’s we WENT ! LOL EVERYONE was VERY FRIENDLY and ATTENTIVE ! WE tried JUST ABOUT every dessert they make ! LOL NOT A PLACE TO GO IF YOU’RE TRYING TO KEEP YOUR DIET IN CHECK! LMBO THE VERDICT: everybody has their OWN RECIPE ! What one person has a taste for, someone else MAY NOT ! Such as life ! THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH TRYING SOMETHING FOR THE FIRST TIME OR JUST TRYING IT PERIOD I always say ! Overall ,I thought everything tasted pretty good I DID TRY MY PERSONAL FAVORITE ! the CHOCOLATE MERINGUE PIE ! UNFORTUNATELY, it was a LITTLE OVER SWEET and a LITTLE to THICK for my liking but it was STILL pretty good ! I’m used to the “Giant Brand” chocolate meringue, that’s been my favorite so far, I like it the Best ! it’s smooth ,light , creamy and delicious ! And best of all… it’s not sickening sweet ! The cookies here were of course ALL GOOD ! The sugar cookies were MY FAVORITE ! I got sugar cookies ,peanut butter cookies and m&m cookies ! Had to try them all ! You wait ALL THESE YEARS to visit a place, you BETTER MAKE it WORTH THE STOP ! LOL we spent a total of about $32 in desserts, including my MOM’S FAVORITE ,which was the strawberry shortcake ! that’s her FAVORITE ! An $8 block serves 4 people adequately ! Pretty normal prices for any bakery OVERALL, it was a PRETTY GOOD experience ! I’m pretty much in the middle about everything I tasted, I prefer the Amish Market over any bakery I’ve ever been to, no offense to any bakery REAL, FRESH, WHOLESOME INGREDIENTS MAKE ANY RECIPE THE BEST ! REGARDLESS, I’m sure my mom will AT LEAST be sending me up here for MORE strawberry shortcake in the VERY NEAR FUTURE LOL ! she ABSOLUTELY LOVES Herman’s strawberry shortcake ! My mom is old school and what mom SAYS ! GOES ! LOL

Ordered a 50th birthday cake/cupcakes Baltimore Orioles/Cleveland Browns themed from out of state for my nephews birthday to be shared at his job and they were a huge hit-He loved it! Thank you-job well done

My mother ordered a cake for my daughter’s 2nd birthday this past weekend (during the snow storm, too!). She placed the cake order just 24 hours in advance. We told them the theme colors were rose gold and that’s really it. I was blown away when I saw how beautiful the cake was. The decorations, the colors, everything was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back in a couple months for my sons birthday!
