My second time at Hermanas, it was better than my first time, but could still use some work. We shared a pitcher of Margaritas, and they were just ok, maybe some recipe tweaking in order.

It was my first time going to Hermanas, and it did not disappoint. First, the first round of chips and salsa is on the in-house. The chips are delicious, and the three salsas are amazing. They served pico, verde and pineapple verde. I ordered the burrio beef quesadillas that came with black beans and rice. My friends had a bang bang shrimp taco and queso fundido. The food was really good. The service was spectacular. He checked up on us regularly, and always served us with a smile. He was so knowledgeable of them menu. The atmosphere was so chilled and relaxed. This is my new happy place!

Great experience at Hermanas! Juan was our server outside, and he was fantastic! Margaritas and Tacos were great. The tacos took a long time to come out, but they were hearty and everything else made up for it.

Great food and drinks from appetizers to entrées. We will definitely return. The overhead garage doors give an inviting summer vibe. We had several appetizers – the fried avocado and plantains were great and original. Reasonably priced, and solid service.

Let’s get the atmosphere out of the way first. Although the decor is pleasant and fun, the windows were all open making it warm and humid inside. The garage door style windows would make for wonderful temperatures in the Autumn and Spring (if it’s not raining), but in the summer, keep them closed with the a/c on. If we wanted to sit outside, we’d sit on the patio. In addition, listening to hip hop music at a Mexican restaurant (or any restaurant) isn’t very pleasing.

Absolutely a must try place! I was specifically on the hunt for some birria tacos, and theirs are SO delicious, I will definitely be back and order them again! I personally LOVE the aesthetic of the place, overall vibe is spot on. Once we sat down, we were brought waters immediately. Our waiter, Matt, was very friendly and kind! There was a little bit of a wait to get our order taken, but I’m also glad we weren’t rushed (that’s always a turn off). Once our order was taken, he was adequately attentive!

My husband and I have eaten here multiple times, and we have never been disappointed. We crave the birria tacos! And we love the pineapple jalapeno salsa that comes with the salsa trio. We have had Juan as our server for three times now, and he has been a delight! He is friendly, attentive, informative, and overall just fun to talk to. I highly recommend this restaurant – and ask for Juan!

Didn’t care much for our visit to Hermanas. The atmosphere was immediately odd – tables arranged mostly around the perimeter of the room, dark, lots of hard surfaces, which made it very loud even though it wasn’t that busy. We were seated at our table and given food menus but no drink menu. Our server (who was absolutely amazing! ) had to get one for us. Menu selections were odd – lots of tacos, but very few other options for a Mexican restaurant. House margaritas were watery and devoid of any significant flavor. Our entrees were average at best. We’re also not fans of restaurants that require additional charges for sides like rice and beans – even chips and salsa were extra beyond the initial platter. That’s just not typical of most Mexican restaurants and feels like gauging. Overall, there are just too many other awesome choices in the area to compel us to come back to Hermanas – sorry.

Pass on the margaritas, they’re not worth it.
