Friendly service in nice environment. We stopped in after exploring town. Had chicken tenders, a royal flush and a blended tea. The tea was peach, unsweetened and amazing , definitely try one if you are into tea. The cocktail was different and refreshing, the tenders were fresh, hot and tasty. We will be back.

A cute spot for delicious American comfort food. With its expansive menu, adorable interior, and kind servers, this is definitely one of the top places to go in Whitesburg, Kentucky.
The food itself was delightful, but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of vegetarian or plant-based options. I visited Heritage Kitchen with a party of twelve, six of whom were vegetarian. Several of us wanted to try out the black bean burger (which was phenomenal and is pictured below), but there were, unfortunately, only two patties left. If you are vegan or vegetarian, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this particular restaurant; there are certainly plant-based options, but they are exceedingly limited.
Additionally, I was a bit disappointed in the quality of service that we received. We were, of course, a fairly large party, which made us difficult to serve. Our meal started out perfectly with two delicious appetizers (the spinach and artichoke dip and the baked brie, both of which are to die for). The meal, however, started to go downhill from there. It took the restaurant an above-average amount of time to bring out our food and, when we finally did receive our food, it was at inconsistent times and was often already cold. One member of our party received their food before the appetizers were even brought to our table and the last person to eat didn’t receive their food until more than an hour and a half later. Most of the dishes that were brought out seemed to have been reheated or were simply left cold. While I was a bit disappointed in this experience, I fully recognize that we were a fairly large party and that Heritage Kitchen likely wasn’t prepared for such a large group of (vegetarian) college students, and I don’t believe that this experience was necessarily a proper reflection of their capabilities and service. The food truly was delightful and the servers were incredibly kind, so if you plan to visit with a large group of people, especially if your party includes people with dietary restrictions, to call ahead.

Food is very typical American fare, nice atmosphere, quick service had a club, nice portion, added onion rings. Overall nice, but parking is a nightmare, no place in this downtown to park, pretty good walk to the diner.

OMGOODNESS!!! If there was some magical way to not gain weight I would eat here every single day. The portion sizes are so generous & each bite oozes with flavor. The staff is so lovely & helpful.
The guys recently started serving breakfast too (breakfast menu attached.) I am literally counting down the days to Saturday morning.. Why am I waiting to order? Cause I wanna be able to eat it slowly so I can enjoy every flavor without the stress of the work day looming over me.

Best food I’ve had in Whitesburg.
Happened upon this little restaurant and bar. Glad we did, instead of going to Pine Mtn Grill, mexican, or a fast food joint. Chicken salad was exceptional. If it came on a croissant it would be perfect, but toasted honey wheat was still good. Bacon, cheeseburger was excellent as well. Had sides of chili and hash brown casserole. Chili could have had a bit more heat/spice to it, but was overall tasty. I think I could eat a big bowl of the casserole the morning after a night of drinking. Starchy and cheesy goodness, with a little bit of grease.

The chili was great! I had the grown up grilled cheese. Also, very good…. pepper jack was very spicy so be careful if you don’t like spice. My mom had the burger. The meat was very high quality and cooked great! Overall atmosphere was friendly and inviting. I used to live here but now I live in Chicago. I always come here to eat when I visit. I will continue to support the local businesses here. The food is fresh and the place is very clean. If you’re in the area and looking for lunch, give this place a spot. You’ll enjoy it!

greatly disappointing. Based on the high prices We expected basic but good country food in a nice setting and atmosphere. Instead we were seated at a dirty table and the food was served on paper plates. The food itself was barely edible. My salmon which I had ordered “”medium” was overcooked and dry and even the spices could not mask the flavor of fish that had laid out too long. My onion rings were cold and the side of mixed veggies clearly originated from a bag of frozen California veggies with no seasoning whatsoever served in a styrofoam cup. my friend had beef enchiladas which were serves as four sad section on a paper plate with no sides or garnish whatsoever. Greatly overpriced!

We were in Whitesburg for a family reunion and we stumbled upon this place. The food was great and our server was the best!! My sister and Mom had fried bologna sandwiches and they gave it a big thumbs up! I had the chicken salad and all I can say is “YUMMY”!!
