I had a wonderful experience at Indi Restaurant in Nanaimo. The food was absolutely delicious — the Chicken Karahi and Kebabs were full of flavor and cooked perfectly. All the food is Halal, which is very important for me. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service was great. I will definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone who loves tasty food!

We usually order masala dosa but today we tried goat vindaloo, noodles, chilli paneer and garlic naan and everything was at par. Each dish was so delicious, naans were so fresh and tasty that I ate few bites without any sauce . Must say ambience, food, service, price, all of these were amazing, one of the best Indian restaurants in Nanaimo. Love this place!!

Valentines day 2026.. so I understand it’s busier than they are probably used to.
Food was very good and very hot/fresh. Portions were nicely sized. Service was non existent. Took 20 minutes to take our order. Took an hour to get our food. While writing this I’ve waited 15 minutes to pay them. We haven’t seen a server since our food was placed on the table.

Visited Heritage Indian Cuisine today and was blown away by the warm and attentive service from Akshita and Aanchal. The hot, crispy dosa with tasty sambhar and chutneys was amazing and the service was so good, I couldn’t resist ordering vadas too! A truly satisfying experience. Highly recommend!

Ordered the combos which came with Naan bread, a drink a main dish and vegetables dish.

Went there to have biryani and absolutely fell in love with the flavour and felt like i am back home. Highly recommend the Chicken and Goat biryani. With fast service, Akshita & Anchal took such great care of us, & made us feel welcomed. The service was warm, and the atmosphere was perfect.

Loved the quality and service and atmosphere and music and everything.
Akshita served us and she was very very nice. It was our time and was perfect. She recommended us the dishes like crispy cauliflower bites and non veg combo which turned out be perfectly delicious.

We ordered 2 plates of idly sambhar. They served us 4 idly and 2 type of chutney but quantity of chutney was in a small coin size bowl. When we ordered extra chutney and sambhar no one informed that it will be extra cost and they charge $6 for that small portion of chutney and $6 for one small bowl of sambhar. This is ridiculous charge for chutney and who charges extra for sambhar. In Vancouver also no restaurant charges extra for sambhar or chutney. Please don’t order as it’s not worth the food.
