The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is perfect for special occasions. However, the customer service has significant room for improvement. We had an awkward encounter with the host, who greeted us with a blunt ‘Do you need something?’ While we understand that staff can get overwhelmed on busy days, a warm welcome is always expected.
As for the food, it was decent, but the Pad Thai was so spicy I couldn’t even eat it. For now, I’ll stick to delivery and only order a couple of specific meals.

1st visit. It’s absolutely beautiful inside. I would go and have a drink rather than eat. I didn’t care for the dumplings or the broccoli in brown sauce. Great guest recovery. My husband said the hot and sour soup was overly spicy and did enjoy the sweet and sour chicken. Again great service and atmosphere.

I’m embarrassed to say how often we frequent. We love coming in with our family and also just to sit at the bar. The dumplings are very close to the ones we had in China, the pad Thai is sooo good, wanting to be more adventurous the wagyu is DELICIOUS! Add the house rose and evening made! Staff is so sweet, the manager is so kind. Props to the chef!!!

Food was mid. Not much flavor. Crab rangoons were oily! All oil. Egg rolls no flavor. The green beans were the best. I ordered shrimp fried rice and it was bland. Not a fan wouldn’t come back.

Daniel had amazing service! He really connected with our table and even made sure all was well when one of our guests had some food particulars! We celebrated a birthday and even had the opportunity to celebrate him! We will definitely be back!

Our server Caitlyn was phenomenal and made the experience a good one. The food on the other hand was not very good. I ordered the BBQ pork buns which were okay but my wife and I also both ordered lunch specials. The general Tso chicken was okay but the fried rice had no flavor or good taste to it at all.
My wife’s beef and broccoli was no good either you couldn’t taste any seasoning on it at all. We learned they recently changed owners not sure if they changed recipes too but I certainly wouldn’t recommend this place if you want an authentic Chinese dining experience. Much more Americanized.

Bo Lings recently rebranded/restyled their plaza location. We’ve been coming here for several decades and the food is always good quality and definitely some of the best Chinese in the KC area.
For this visit we had a large party of 21 for our Grandmother’s 86th birthday, we had one of the private rooms with 2 large tables, which was perfect for our group. The staff was impeccable including Daniel who we have always had and takes great care of us, as well as Joseph. Despite the large party our food was delivered in timely manner and nothing went missing!
Overall fantastic dining experience and we love the new updates!

You must try the wonder. The soup is savory and spicy. The crispy shrimp rolls are full of shrimp. I really just want to say you must come see and taste for yourself. Our server Kevin was so nice. He checked on us, made suggestions, and was personable. We felt like we were the only two in the restaurant. Please see him when you come. Top knotch service.
