I have lived in Escanaba most my life and have been gone for 4 years. Came back to visit family and took all of them out to H&H for dinner. Way over priced now. The grill had no meat or fish or even sauces to do a stir fry and it was 6pm, which to me is prime time for dinner. Should have known since only one table had people when we walked in. The chili was $6.25 and was not even a cup full. The salad had white tomatoes, not even ripe! Had to have them bring out three sweet potatoes and I included a photo of it, black! Steak had to be sent back way under cooked, ordered medium and came out rare. The steak photo was order at medium rare and came out well past medium. My aunt who still lives here warned me that they stopped coming here over a year ago due to the food being so bad for the price! Should have listened!!! Will never come back.

For someone visiting the area this looked like a nice place to celebrate with my wife while on our honeymoon. We came about a hour before the end of service during the week. We were seated without having to wait. The place looked empty where we were seated as there were just three other tables with other diners as well and no one at the bar. The time it took for us to get our meal was about average. The food came out okay, but overall the soup that was ordered was the only thing we could say was the best. We tried to order the pasta that was $20+ as it was something we wanted to order, but was informed there was a BIG rush before we came and they ran out of pasta. How that is possible I’m not sure. The chairs could use some looking over as some of the back rest appear to be coming apart. The bathroom was not supplied with toilet paper as well. The staff appeared to be tired, but during multiple times they were amongst one another just holding conversations rather then checking on tables.

I think there are small things that could make this place better. I had their “award winning” ribs. They were cold and HEAVILY sauced, which is sad. The meat was tender fall off the bone and the sauce needed to be less to enhance and not overpower the meat. I hated having to ask for the ribs to be heated up because you never know if the staff will do something even for asking for something basic. The beer was good, but the server was not knowledgeable about the beer. I found the place through the Untappd app and was excited to sample the beers. It was a happy accident that you serve flights because this isn’t noted anywhere unless you ask. There wasn’t even a beer list to view. I also did not see any beer to go. I like visiting local breweries to support brewers. Craft brew is an art.

Our family ate here tonight and our waitress Jayme was so wonderful- knowledgeable about the menu, efficient and all around friendly and professional. She made our experience great! We chose to have dinner outside in their patio area and it was perfect. We also loved that there was a sirloin available on the kids menu so our oldest could feel like he was getting a fancy meal along with us (:

H & H is a great place to eat! My server Jaymelee was prompt, polite, & perfect! The staff was A-1! Management was great & the food was cooked just how I like it. Then to top it off the restaurant was clean & the atmosphere & ambience gave me a feeling of sheer happiness ☺

Wonderful food. A little more expensive than what some may be used to, but you’re paying for the high quality. The food is always great, though I go here more often for the drinks. Bar staff and wait staff are always friendly to me.

We sat at the bar and had a great experience. Jess was awesome…great recommendations for food and gave great service. I had the walleye dinner, awesome and my husband had the perch dinner, which he said was tasty. Thank you for a great UP brewery experience!

Went there and had dinner. It sucked!!! Food was under cooked and bland. Husband had a hair on his plate. I had a bloody mary and it tasted horrible. Sent back but still got charged for it. It was almost a $60 meal. Could of ate at a better meal at Mc Donald’s or Taco Bell.

Would stop again. They have a good selection of brews to try and the food is excellent. I tried the shrimp po boy and it was amazing. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.
