If you are in Austin and don’t make it to “Here nor there” you missed out on the best cocktail bar experience in Austin. There is not even a close second. Alex (Big A) and Parker (Little P) are magicians behind the bar. A combination of ambiance, craft cocktails and hospitality executed at the highest level. Eileen and Patrick treated us as family. World class cocktails that are as tasty as they are innovative and delicious.
The culmination of hospitality and execution is on point here. I can’t even imagine the amount of time it would take to describe the range of cocktails we had. On the menu and off.
People really do make a difference!!!!!! Shout out to everyone at “Here nor there” well done…..

Here Nor There delivers exactly what a great bar should, and then some.
The atmosphere is dialed in. It feels intentional, immersive, and comfortable without trying too hard. You walk in and immediately know you are somewhere that cares about details.
The staff is the real standout. Friendly, welcoming, and clearly invested in the experience, not just the transaction. They know the menu, they read the room, and they want you to have a good night.
The drinks are creative without being gimmicky. Unique combinations, balanced flavors, and genuinely delicious. You are not just ordering cocktails, you are being guided through them.
Bottom line: great vibe, great people, great drinks. Here Nor There is doing it right.

Intimate. Mixology. Dark. That’s the vibe of this place. Creative, strong drinks and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Taylor served us and was such a delight, willing to talk about the craft with us and just providing all around good vibes. We had the nuts as a snack, but they’re made in house and were super delicious.

Here Nor There paid attention to the small details, the welcome for our group going in set the tone for the night. The music curation was amazing but not too loud, which made it perfect to have conversations with friends (or a date). The drinks were mixed to perfection. And most importantly, everyone on the staff operated like customer service professionals, they were amazing with us!

This is definitely the place to visit! Service has been amazing as soon as you walk in. Very friendly staff who wanna make sure you have a great time. We sat at the bar and had a great time talking with Aiden the bartender. Let me tell you the guy knows his drinks and is very talented at what he does.
I would highly recommend this for a date night or just a nice cocktail to enjoy.

Here Nor There offers a super cool and intentional experience. There’s no signage out front, and you need to book ahead and receive a passcode to get into the alley where the entrance is. You’re greeted at the door with a glass of prosecco, and shown to your seat. At the times I’ve gone, the menu was Texas themed, with drinks created to represent different places in Texas, along with accompanying illustrations. The cocktails were all presented beautifully, and some cocktails even have an interactive element served with them. The food is largely bar snacks – a bar mix, flatbread with dip, charcuterie, etc etc but it was all very good. I highly recommend the trio of tartlettes to end your night out on a sweet note. On top of all this, the staff on both of my visits have been wonderful, attentive, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. This is definitely high on my list of places in Austin for a date night out.

I’ll tell ya! Aidan. He was the best bartender. He was full of the best recommendations of places to eat and drink in Austin, as well the best drink maker. The hospitality was top notch, The drinks at this place are some of the best we have ever had – and we come from a drinking town. 12/10 highly recommend visiting this place. So cool to find down an alley, and have one of the best bar experiences for a vacation. Thank you!!

We came in for a first date early on a Sunday night.
This is such a cool place! The ambiance was incredible, the decor was great, the service was amazing, and the drinks were outstanding!
They had a really cool book type menu and also a holiday menu.
We each had 3 different cocktails and enjoyed ourselves so much I forgot to take any pictures.
We also had the bar mix which had homemade cheese crackers that were out of this world.
Thanks to the staff for making it an amazing night!

When in Austin you have to go here!!! We were visiting Austin for the first time and I stumbled on this hidden speakeasy through reviews. They communicated very clearly through text on the open table app. So even though the venue is secret with a code to get into an unmarked gate only for that day we never felt stressed how to get there. The underground speakeasy lounge vibe as soon as you walk in the small single party waiting area while they check you in sets the unbelievable fun swanky relaxed vibe with low lights, cool wall paper and a full size taxidermy bear holding a tray of drink tastes to get you started and he is wearing a crown!
It was my husbands birthday and they gave him a cute bday postcard with the bear on it. We got to sit in an amazing couch and pillows corner. He had a delicious whiskey sour, and I had a top notch espresso martini. When I pondered my next drink to the waitress saying I liked champagne and vodka type spritzers with fruit flavors she was super happy to have the bartender make me a custom drink! It was SO GOOD with some berry notes, elderberry liquor and a little mint. To cap off our journey they treated us to a small taste each of their milk and honey drink for my husbands bday it was unbelievably tasty, I would totally order it first next time I go and it’s not even liquor I usually drink!

I like the excitement before heading to this speakeasy bar, where you have to download their app to make the reservation and get the gate code. Good thing we went early to look around where exactly its at because it is tucked in and you definitely can miss it. The atmosphere was dark but cozy. Their drinks were good but it is expensive. Bartender was great though! Will definitely come back here next time I visit Austin.
