Holy smokes, this staff! They made our experience absolutely amazing from start to finish. It felt like we were dining with family. The lady in the Metallica shirt was my baby’s favorite person ever. The food was rockstar but that staff ❣️ One in a million

Fantastic fare at this iconic spot enjoyed by entire group…Tavern Tots were a highlight… loved zucchini sticks and fried baloney sandwich for our appetizers too…Patty melt was said to be the way a patty melt should taste, and very rare to find by our family patty melt expert who has eaten them literally everywhere…. Burgers, chicken Caesar salad, salmon BLT sandwich were great. Great service, charming setting, always love the patio here in season.

Herb’s Tavern has been around forever and I’m embarrassed to say that it was my first time here ! And I loved it !!!

There’s a parking lot in the back, which is always helpful. We walked in for brunch on a Sunday morning, and we were able to snag the last seat on the patio. I loved the little shade sails over the patio! It really helped keep things cool.

The wait staff seemed a little stressed. But we were waited on by a man and were brought our food by a younger girl. Both were very sweet and pleasant !

I was with three other people and we all loved our food! I’m kind of a French toast snob, and it was incredible ! My husband got a ham & Swiss omelette and loved all the cheese on it. He said it was great. We also both agreed that the hash browns were incredible. A perfect balance of crispy and soft.

My only little complaint was that our food all came out at different times, so I was done eating before two of the people in my party even received their food.

One of the other servers came over to apologize to us for the scene, which I was confused by. Apparently the next table over were throwing a fit because they couldn’t split their checks. I had no idea! So kudos to the staff for handling it discretely. Afterwards though, we DID hear the disgruntled guests honking obnoxiously at the patio and flipping us all the bird. lol what in the world? Hopefully their day got better. Lol

Very vibey but thats as far as the good reviews go. The service was slow an inattentive even though there were only 3 tables in the entire building. All of the food is frozen and OVER PRICED. $7 for frozen onion rings is INSANE. Not a single side is made in house and they are all $5+ ala carte. The burger was average at best the bun wasnt even toasted. Pissed I spent $60 FOR ONE person here after tip. The margarita came in a tall glass and tasted like syrup. Will not be back.

i’ve come here for lunch many times and never had an issue, but i had such a terrible brunch experience here that it disrupted my whole day.
i ordered the eggs benedict and they come with hash browns, and to drink, an earl grey tea with honey and a water.
the tea took a while and came probably ten minutes after my parents’ drinks, and was not served with a dish or anything to put my teabag on so it wouldn’t oversteep. the server forgot the honey and water and when he remembered, he had to be corrected that i had wanted honey, not cream, and when the honey finally came out there was no dish to prevent everything from getting sticky.
when i got my food, the hash browns were fine, but the eggs benedict was cold. i had to wait another ten minutes for the server to let him know that i needed hot food, and when he came back out, he only brought a small dish with poached eggs. eggs benedict is not the kind of dish where you can just replace one ingredient when there’s a mistake, if the eggs are cold then the canadian bacon and hollandaise are also cold, and even if they were somehow both hot with cold eggs, there’s no way to re-pour the hollandaise over the eggs. i had to wait another ten minutes for my food to be remade, and then it was brought with a burnt english muffin and without the hash browns. at this point i just wanted something to eat, so i didn’t complain again, but i only ate a few bites of hash brown and it should have been replaced as well.
to the server’s credit, there were two families with very poorly behaved children that likely threw off his ability to provide good service, it’s entirely possible that my food went cold because he had to spend extra time disinfecting EVERYTHING on their tables (please, if you have children, teach them basic table manners). nevertheless, my experience was not a good one.

I unfortunately cannot recommend Herb’s tavern and I won’t be coming back.

Couldn’t find a breakfast menu online anywhere prior to visiting. Now I know why, prices are nearly triple what you’d pay at a different place for the same thing.

Server was pleasant but forgot Lemon In the our water, didn’t bring jelly for the toast, eventually I just stopped asking. The section near the bathrooms has about 6 tables and that’s where we were instructed to sit. It smelled like urine in that area. Food arrived one plate at a time with a few minutes in between. We weren’t given silverware until we asked for it after the food arrived. Bathrooms were uncleanly which is probably what was contributing to the odor in the dining area.

$17 for 3 breakfast tacos that are smaller than your palm. In total if I had to guess, the taco fillings consisted of maybe 2 scrambled eggs, half a piece of bacon and a single slice of avocado split into three. Normally I’m not anywhere near this critical, but for $17 I couldn’t help but laugh at the lack of filling.

For 3 people that got very basic breakfast, the bill came to $70 after tip. Again, you could go to a diner and get the same exact thing for 1/3 that price.

I wanted to come in Google to “challenge” some of the recent negative reviews – I’m not sure the story happened the way it is portrayed in the reviews. I was there during the confrontation (I attached my receipt to prove so). But I challenge that all the folks writing the negative reviews were – maybe friends banding together to write bad reviews???
Anyway – we were at the table right next to the part of 8 table – and I was facing the table. The only loud voices I heard were those of the diners. However, I did not realize they were upset – I did hear something about them complaining that they couldn’t split their checks and how it was BS. (I remember thinking that they were very upset for something that was posted on the door when walking into the restaurant – but whatever – some people let little things work them up).
Next thing I knew, the diners left and drove out of the parking lot honking their horns and giving the restaurant the middle finger. ALL ON A SUNDAY MORNING!!!!!
Back to Herb’s itself – all 4 people in our party loved the food – the service was fine, the atmosphere was fine after the hoopla!!! There was a young lady (not our waitress), who was very attentive to the people sitting on the patio – so kudos to her!!

One of those rare pubs where you feel like you’ve been there before even though it’s your first time. There’s a very pleasant vibe in the place augmented by the speedy and excellent service. The menu is diverse with daily special dishes. It can get very busy during brunch, this is a popular restaurant that’s been around for a long time.

Sorry, but the food here is average at best, and everything is wildly overpriced. Why was it $54 (before tip) for biscuits and gravy, one small piece of berry toast, a couple sausage links, orange juice, and coffee? That’s actually insane. WHO CHARGES $6 FOR A CUP OF REGULAR DRIP COFFEE?? My husband ordered the “full” order of biscuits and gravy, which is advertised as four biscuits, but it’s not – it’s two biscuits cut in half. Won’t be back.
