We are visiting from Florida and came across this place to stop in. Super lovely small business vibe. They have everything you can think of donuts, yoyo cookies, peanut butter cookie sandwich, and more! The cookie sandwich was really good. I ordered a glazed donut twist looking really forward to it only to get home and see that she ended up giving me a sugar donut twist in the box instead. 🙁 that’s why I had to remove a star but other than that it was really delicious and they had great service.

It is impossible to give this bakery less than a 5-star rating! I have been a regular patron since the bakery opened. Everything is fresh and never overpriced! Staff is ALWAYS friendly and wait time is nominal. What more could you ask?

I’ve been going to Chuck’s Bakery, now Henze’s, my entire life. They have incredible donuts, coffee cakes, pies and baked goods. It is my “go to” place for donuts in Valparaiso. The new mural is super cool and adds to the nostalgia of this Valparaiso institution. They are closed Monday & Tuesday.

As a little boy I remember getting delicious birthday cakes from the bakery when it was downtown on Lincolnway. My family moved away and I always longed for another cake. 55 years later sime friends told us about this amazing bakery, so my wife and I drove 45 minutes to find it. We got two danish and some coffee and I stood looking at the wall with all of the family pictures and wonderful memories flooded back. Won’t lie, I got a little misty. Thank you for continuing the traditions and I will definitely be back !!!

The donuts and Danish were delicious, and could taste that they were much higher quality than grabbing something from the gas station or grocery store. The peanut butter cookie sandwich was very tasty and not overly sweet. Was sure to Ask what everything was priced, and they were very helpful and friendly. One of their signature foods, the YumYum, was excellent. A combination of cinnamon roll like pastry with a brownie and coffee spread that’s topped with glaze and chocolate drizzle. Well worth the price and will be back again. Looking forward to getting an apple and cheese coffee cake to share with the family.

I wanted to give a negative 5 Billion review due to ill customer service! The old elderly lady behind the counter should retire. We asked about prices and with a super snotty upidy attitude she replied with prices. Then I asked if they gave a military/combat veteran discount? With the same severe attitude she replied “NOPE”!! I have lived here a long time and any business that treats their customers this bad will eventually go under! I will never set foot in your negative attitude business the rest of my life!!

BEST donuts around. Always taste fresh! Had them for my wedding and baby shower. I believe the owner had taken care of us for the wedding and she was wonderful.

Excellent bakery items with large selection of fresh donuts and many other boxes baked goods outside of cases. Be aware that there is NO space for indoor dining and it can quickly get busy/cramped inside.
