Super friendly and local joint. Fattest omelette I’ve had in a long time. Great service. It’s downtown but there is a good parking lot right in front of the building.

Fast, excelent, friendly service with great food and reasonable prices.
Had the fresh flounder special. Was well prepared and filled me up. Wife had the regular chicken salad on a croissant combo and it was more than she could eat.
We always look forward to eating there.

Local here. Might have found my favorite place to eat in town. Great food. All organic. Service was A1. Will definitely be coming back.
Update: 1-4-26. Ordered a omelet. When asked what the difference between the whole omelet and half. Server said that the whole omelet was the size of the plate. That’s what I ordered. Omelet that arrived was just a regular omelet just half the size of the plate. For $14.00 there was nothing special about it. Don’t get me wrong the omelet was good. But not worth the money that I was charged.
I will come back, just not for the omelets.

Such a Gem!! We found Henry’s Uptown Cafe traveling through Rockingham, NC today!! I had the famous Grilled Chicken Salad and he had a grain fed cheeseburger with fresh cut fries The food was amazing and hot & fresh. I Loved all the strawberries with my salad ❤️
They we’re celebrating 14 years in business and so we met the owner, Henry and they shared cupcakes with us which also were amazing ☺️☺️
So stop in and enjoy great food and service but don’t wait they are only open 7am to 2pm Monday thru Saturday- We highly recommend this downtown hidden gem!!

See that picture? That’s the Uptown Steak Burger you should be eating right now. The bun was perfect, I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome the burger itself was. The service is fantastic, the portions are perfect and everything was so tasty! This should be in your regular rotation of restaurants for breakfast and lunch!

Unfortunately my order was completely wrong. I was given an over easy egg on toast with 1 slice of burnt bacon cut in half. I order sausage with an over medium egg. The potatoes were undercooked, and there wasn’t anything I’d considered fried about them. My husband ordered The Jake. The chicken was bland, and same issue with the potatoes. My friend was visiting from Virginia, and I was looking forward to treating her to a good breakfast on her last day (since we had heard great things about this place). Luckily, her food was decent just lacked salt, and same issue with the potatoes. Was looking forward to finally trying this place, but I don’t think we’ll return anytime soon.

Henry is one hard working gent. From what I observed, he was the only cook and waiter in the small restaurant layout, yet the food was prepared and delivered just fine.
Located across the street from a free public parking lot, there is an abundance of parking both in the lot and at curbside.

First time here. Uptown Rockingham. Parking was good and service was fast. Had an Omlet with breakfast fries and a biscuit. Food was excellent!
