I went out to eat my favorite stinky tofu and had the best time chatting it up with Henry. As I devoured my shredded pork and mustard green soup and the 2 different types of stinky tofu in the menu, Henry told me stories of his love of wine, retirement plans and his career over the years. If you love wine, amazing food and great stories, Henry’s Taiwan Kitchen is the place to visit. It was such a lovely evening Henry, thank you for the tea sample!

This Taiwanese restaurant is fantastic! The fried tofu and fried rice were both excellent. The pig trotters (pork hock) were particularly amazing—super tender and incredibly flavorful.”

Excellent braised pig feet on rice platter. Needless to say their stinky tofu was very authentic, the pickles is out of the world. Parking to our surprise was free for the first hour. The underground parking was clean and safe (during lunch hour)

I still miss Taiwan, but not as much now. This place has the best beef noodle soup I’ve tasted and the salty soy milk is much better than 永和豆漿, and I love 永和豆漿. And, come here if you want stinky tofu, too. I was very impressed with the flavors. I’ll be back for sure!

I have been going to Henry’s on a weekly basis (both dine-in and order to go), always so good each time. I bring my own container now if I order to go. The owner is willing to make adjustments to accommodate special requests within reason. All very delicious. I love the beef noodle soup and braised pork on rice as well. The noodle has a good texture even if you order to go. I highly recommend this place. So glad he opens one here so I don’t have to drive to Bellevue for Taiwanese food❤️

Henry’s is one of the best small restaurants I’ve been to in Seattle. It’s clearly a beloved neighborhood spot. Everyone I saw come and go while I was there was greeted like family by the owner and seemed to know him well as well. Even as a first-timer I was received warmly, and as my friends and I spoke with the owner he quickly started sharing stories from his 40 year career as a chef and about the food and drinks we were enjoying, all of which ranged from fascinating to hilarious. I’ve never left a restaurant for the first time and felt so welcomed by the staff. The food itself was fantastic as well. Somewhat-americanized Taiwanese fair that clearly demonstrates the chefs life-long career. flavors and spices were married perfectly, the rice was of a perfect texture, and the meat in every dish was simultaneously crispy, moist, meltingly tender, and perfectly rich. This was wonderfully paired with acidic and fermented flavors in the various sauces and veg, and my floral-infused green tea, while a tiny bit too sweet for my liking, cleaned my pallet wonderfully. It was a meal that none of our party could stop eating, because every item on the plate made us crave one of the other items it was joined by. I don’t know why this restaurant is only 3 stars, it looks like perhaps they had some trouble when they first switched locations, but if our experience is anything to go by, that must be a thing of the past. The food was delicious and well-priced, the staff was friendly, experienced, and informative, and the whole experience felt like joining a lifelong chef at his kitchen table, surrounded by his friends, neighbors, and family. I can’t wait to go back.

This is a very good Taiwanese restaurant. It is unassuming and you cant judge a book by its cover.

My fiancé and I went here, while we were enjoying the C-ID Food Walk. They have the best stinky tofu. Very fragrant, tender, and delicious with a yummy side of pickled cabbage. Initially we thought that we ordered just 1 order of the stinky tofu, but they made us 2 orders. When we paid for it, there was a bit of confusion, but we paid for the 2 orders.

It was a happy accident for us because we love stinky tofu. I felt bad though cuz I wanted to tip, so I went back later after I broke our larger bills to leave a tip at the counter. Please don’t sleep on this place. Great authentic Taiwanese food and easily the best stinky tofu in town! Just come here.

New location for Henry’s Taiwan. We’ve been to their old location years ago and enjoyed the food. We saw it last week when we drove by and stopped in today.
Henry the owner is manning the front. We ordered a few dishes to share – the Taiwanese sausage is delicious.
The beef noddles soup was good but the noodle was overcooked and not al dente. Given it’s only a couple of months old, maybe they are still working out the kinks.
And the street is so clean compared to the past – no more homeless people roaming/camping in the front.

Been eating at his joints since in Renton, Bellevue, then Seattle areas, and Chinatown dating back years ago. Good to see him back. Henry’s Taiwanese Pork Chop bento still good as prior in his latest location, but beef noodle need improvement. Tendon too chewy, and the soup base need to go back old school Taiwanese taste.
