So we went for a private event and this was our first time at Henry’s place we did the Valentine’s Day blindfolded dinner. (I have done other events like this in the past just not at Henry’s place and not blindfolded.) Being blindfolded while having dinner was a very interesting experience it really helped my partner and I focus on each other and what we were tasting. I loved this idea of having a different opportunity to connect while dining. The staff was amazing however, I am discouraged to say that the food was not up to par considering the price we paid. I had the cheesy truffle pilaf for one of my dishes. The pilaf was overcooked as well as the truffle. My partner had Australian wagyu with mashed parsnips. She said she liked the dish. Most of the food was lukewarm unfortunately, which I personally feel brought the quality of the food down. Other than that, it was a very interesting dining experience. I would definitely give Henry’s another shot once the restaurant works out all the kinks for an event like this. I like this place and would love to try it again on a regular night.

First time at Henry’s.. absolutely amazing!! Service was friendly and fast! We tried the Corned Beef egg rolls, jambalaya (pictured), Mac n cheese with gyro meat, kimchi tacos (pictured) and the caramel apple Mule…. Everything was amazing.. can not recommend highly enough. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the prices. Jambalaya was $26 and the 3 tacos were $17

We had a large group of 21 that needed a Restaurant to accommodate us as we were on a time schedule. Henry’s accomplished this without us feeling rushed. Drinks were served quickly as well as the food. The Chinese buffet available was terrific as well.

Henry and his team run a fantastic establishment. The food is good, the drinks are excellent and the service is attentive and friendly. I love the lobster roll. They also had these bacon wrapped scallops that I washed down with a glass of eagle rare (one of the only places that has a great bourbon selection) that were magnificent.

Love this place, such great staff, bourbon/beer selectin and solid food.

Good/fresh oysters are not easy to find in the Lansing area, and Henry’s always got them. Fresh and high quality!

Lobster roll, prime rib, and the Korean wings are great.

Great neighbourhood place, highly recommended!

I honestly don’t understand how people look past the prices at this place. They’re completely outrageous. Literally everything on the menu is more than what it should be. The portion sizes are also completely ridiculous. If I’m paying this much money for food, I should be getting huge portions. Instead, I get a sandwich smaller than what I get at Panera Bread. It makes no sense. I don’t have a clue how this place is staying open and getting away with it. The food is fine, certainly nothing to rave about, and I feel bad because I live right down the street, but I would be here all the time if it weren’t for the prices and portions and “just fine” food quality. If I’m paying $25 for an entree at a bar, it better be the best damn entree I’ve ever eaten. It just makes no sense to come here for me, and I don’t understand how it makes sense for anyone else either.

We love Henry’s Place! The food is unique with lots of “comfort food” options & drinks are always tasty. Staff is friendly & attentive without being annoying. Love the ceiling lights, which add warmth especially on cold winter days. You often see Henry walking around, chatting with customers & making sure there are no issues.

Great spot with great food and a wonderful bourbon selection. Atmosphere is also great. You can go with a group of friends for happy hour or to watch the game, or you could also bring the family for dinner. Both situations will provide a wonderful experience.

Historically I love this place but they have changed some things. Cubano has gotten skimpy, cornbeef eggrolls got greasy, shrimp po boy was solid and so are the Brussels. It does seem things have gotten “cheaper” but not the price.

Firecracker shrimp- big shrimp and yummy dipping sauce. I had the Juicy Lucy (both juicy and delicious). Wife had the French dip (shaved prime rib- excellent with great au jous). Busy evening, but service was great.
