This is the first and last time we will have breakfast at Henry’s. the chicken biscuit was so dry, we couldn’t choke it down (only ate half between the two of us). The bologna biscuit was absolutely disgusting (one bite each was all we could stand). The sausage biscuit and gravy biscuits were just okay. We paid over $17 for this “food” and ended up throwing most of it away. On a good note, the people were friendly, but that wasn’t enough to get us to try them again.

Best BBQ sandwich I’ve ever eaten. It’s HUGE. And less than 6 dollars. Chicken Tenders are also wonderful. Breakfast fantastic. There’s no indoor dining but other than that it’s great food for a very good price.

Great cheap food. Best biscuit I’ve ever had at a restaurant…. Bacon was a bit salty but that is a matter of personal preference I’m sure. Other than that great biscuits, but the hash bites are not good. Still overall very great place for the price.

I’ve gone to Henry’s most of my life, with that being said I won’t being going back after our visit today. I have a special needs child that is very picky with his eating habits. Four grilled cheese sandwiches and a regular sweet tea was $22.09. My jaw dropped when I had to add money to the $20.00 I already had in my hand. I would also just like to throw in to this review that this is the south and your tea you sell shouldn’t taste soured. If you also have a special needs child that will only eat grilled cheese, or you just want good food and NONSOURED TEA, I HIGHLY recommend Cardinal’s!!!

Walked in on Saturday morning, first customers. 2 young men standing behind the counter leaning against it. We said ‘good morning’. No response. We said good morning again, and one guy yelled “eat in or take out?” Well we looked at the menu board, decided they really didn’t care whether or not we stayed, must not need the business. We just moved in to town, and quickly learned this won’t be a favorite hangout! No idea what the food is like, but from the customer service standpoint, we’ll never know!

New to the area 3 years ago, my sister and I decided to try this place. The nastiness of the interior should have been our first clue. But I thought it might be a local “hole in the wall” that would turn out to be a great place to eat. NOT!!! The quality of the “food” was horrible, and was either over-cooked or dried out from being left out too long or just way past expiration. Cheap stuff that tasted cheap. I took a couple of bites, but refused to eat the rest, afraid it might make me sick. The place was sparsely furnished with a few booths that dated from the 60’s – scratched, in need of repair, and so aged it had that “filmy” feel to it. Service? There was none other than the 2 folks behind the counter who took your order and then yelled out to us that it was ready for us to pick up. They spent all their time in the kitchen talking about their previous night and never showed their faces up front again. We could have stolen everything in the place for all they cared. Oh yeah, we were the only ones in there . . . that should’ve been our 2nd clue. Every time I go into Brevard, there is never more than one car, if any at all. It’s nothing more than what I call a “hobby” business or a tax write-off. If you want to play roulette with your health on vacation, this is the place to go . . .
As you can see from the photos in the review below, that “chicken patty” on a biscuit is not real food, but a cheap, processed and probably soy-filled hockey puck. Even if it had been properly cooked, you don’t want to eat that junk. I surmise they get all their food from the same place. And if the cooks/servers cared one iota about anything, they would never have served it to anyone, much less taken your money.

The best chicken biscuit in WNC. If you want to forever remain disappointed by every other chicken biscuit and your lack of proximity to Brevard, NC then check this spot out. Worth driving up to 12 hours for one of these. Cash only unfortunately. Real dumb.
