I ordered shrimp and broccoli and my food was delivered with the consistency of mush. The vegetables were soft. The shrimp were soft. It’s like they cooked it, refrigerated it, cooked it again, and sold it warm. I don’t understand. Fish restaurant used to be so good!

One word, DRY. The lo mein and shrimp egg roll was dry. The lo mein and fried rice had absolutely no flavor. The crab sticks were so dry, seemed like they refried them one to many times. I gave two stars solely based on the sweet and sour chicken. They were actually decent. Also this place is a bit pricey. Invest in some salt.

Another bust! Jersey City cannot manage to make decent Chinese fast food. Being from nyc the food here simply doesn’t compare. I ordered orange chicken which was the same exact sauce on my boyfriend’s sesame chicken. His had sesame seeds and my chicken had dried orange peel which didn’t add any orange flavor to my chicken at all. It was the worst orange chicken I’ve had, it was not crispy the coating was mushy. My fried rice had zero veggies; onions, egg, Scallions, bean sprouts, carrots, when did they stop adding this to fried rice? Worst of it all it was flavorless.

There was a time when the food and service from Henry Wok was good. Recently however, there must have been some changes with the management. The quality of service and food went down. I placed an order and the person didn’t bother to ask if it was a pick up or delivery like they used to. After waiting one hour, I called and she thought it was a pick up. If she had checked my number in their system, she would have seen that EVERY order has always been for delivery. Then to add insult to injury, they delivered the food cold. And I was told one price on the phone and a higher price was requested by the driver. So unprofessional. And the food wasn’t as good as previous orders. I will never order from them again. They’ve lost a good customer in losing me and my family. Unfortunately good customer service is hard to come by these days.

I’ve been a faithful at Henry’s wok since they opened back in the late 80’s/ early 90’s. Even though some of the food has changed, its still my go to place. The people are always friendly and the food is always good.
