My wife and I selected this restaurant as it was part of the Open Table Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables. This restaurant is in the Germantown neighborhood, so if you are staying in proper Nashville, it will require an Uber/Lyft or driving. Upon arriving, we were greeted and seated immediately. The overall vibe of the place was very inviting, and seating was separated well. The drink menu had a wide selection of cocktails and wine, as well as spirits. There were limited beer options, but a wide enough selection to please any style. We opted for dirty martinis, and they were made well. The oyster selection was diverse and included west coast, gulf, and Atlantic oysters. We asked for recommendations and our server gave us a detailed overview of the entire selection. The oysters come with all the accompaniments. For dinner, we ordered scallops and gnocchi with pork. Both dishes were prepared well, presented even better, and most importantly, tasted delicious. We travel a lot, meaning we eat out a lot, and this is one of the better meals we have had in a few months. We opted to try dessert, and while the presentation was 10/10, the flavor was lacking a bit, but still good. We left happy with our choice and would highly recommend the restaurant.

Drinks were delicious. I especially liked the David S Pumpkins, which was surprisingly fruity. The oysters were good, though expensive if you get a dozen, since each is $3.50 to 4.50. My favorites were the Admiral and Mookie Blue oysters. The poppy’s caviar was okay. It came with a sour sauce that kind of overpowered the the caviar, but the dish was overall still good.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the fish dishes. We got the trout and red snapper, and they were so boring. The trout had an overpowering butter flavor, and the salad on top was slightly bitter. The salad was sour, supposedly to cut the fattiness of the butter, but it honestly was not a good accompaniment to the fish by texture and flavor. I think if the salad had some sweetness added, it could’ve worked better with the strong butter flavor. The technique used to cook the trout was impressive, since the trout was entirely deboned. I just didn’t like the taste. The red snapper was really boring with a side of sauce and cooked vegetables. It felt like something you’d get if you ordered fish from a steak house – just a very basic, simple fish dish.

If I come back, I would just order drinks and oysters. The fish dishes were just too disappointing for me to want to try anything else on the menu.

Great Valentine’s Day weekend spot! Abby was a great server and had great recommendations. Honestly the salad on top of the trout might’ve been the best bite. Definitely the best oyster selection in Nashville and one of the best anywhere.

FYI: This review is solely based off of happy hour!
Such a great experience. After the Sounds game, my friend and I just wanted to hit a quick happy hour and this was close by. I love oysters, but she is a little bit wary of them. Henrietta Red changed her mind! The $2 happy hour oysters are a great deal and the Tommy Margarita and happy hour daiquiri were as well. Our waitress was so nice and very knowledgeable on their menu. The restaurant itself is so beautiful and has such a nice open and airy field to it. The couple next to us had gotten the spaghetti as a part of their meal and it looked delicious, we asked them about it and they raved. So I will definitely be back to Henrietta soon.

Me and my friends came here for dinner thinking it would be a chill and relaxing place to eat, which it was. However, we must have been looking at an old menu when we first made reservations for this place, because the food was pretty pricey, which is our fault for not looking for a more recebt menu. That being said though, I have 0 qualms dropping some decent money on food, but I expect to either be wowed or full… and I got niether. Portions were a lil on the smaller side with some friends being perfectly full and some still hungry. I was unfortunately the latter… the menu is just two columns with appetizers on the left and entrees on the right. On the right I saw some scallops with some greens, mushrooms, a puree, and nduja (an Italian sausage) and since it was with the entrees I thought it was a decent size… ya’ll… it was 3 scallops that were practically bay scallops. On top of that there was no sign of the nduja and when I asked if they forgot it, I was told it was “cooked with the scallops”… the dish as a whole was ok, but nothing to write home about. I also got 2 oysters which weren’t half bad but all in all by the end of it I paid a little under $100 to be unsatisfied both taste wise and in fullness… maybe if I got something else I would have given a slightly higher rating but based on this experienced, def over priced and a bit pretentious

Food was excellent here from the apps to the dessert. We were extremely impressed with the chicken pate and the super fresh oysters. The plum and pepper salad was a creative summer mix that somehow worked. The trout and pork loin were a bit less novel, but still tasty. Do not skip on the oolong pana cotta and the chocolate tart either. I ate way too much and would love to revisit in my next Nashville trip. Service also made me feel taken care of the entire meal.

We had dinner at Henrietta Red and made it for the happy hour. The oysters were fresh and the drinks were good. We started with a dozen oysters, the bread, green curry oysters, beef tartare, and Poppy’s caviar. The smaller plates were overall well balanced except for the beef tartare, which was a little bland, but still bright and fresh.

Things took a turn when the larger plates came out. We ordered the risotto, scallops, and the whole trout. I was the first to eat in my group. I tried the risotto first and instantly thought I was turning into my mother, who calls every dish “salty.” I tried the scallops and trout next, and it was like I was eating spoonfuls of salt. My group also said the food was way too salty, so I knew it wasn’t in my head. We felt bad if we sent back 3 dishes, so we did our best to finish each plate. Thankfully, the flavor of the larger plates was stellar! It was just the saltiness that made it difficult for us to keep eating. We each paid $130, which feels a little too steep for the experience we had.

My family and I love coming to Henrietta Red, so it was a little disappointing that this visit fell flat. We wanted to warn the kitchen, but felt that it might’ve come off as rude in the moment. Again, we love Henrietta Red and hope this feedback is helpful!

This was one of the best restaurants I have had in years and I live in London so I know good food! The smoke fish conserve was magic. the little gem lettuce was magic, the corn and okra a must, the gnocchi I was licking the plate and the trout we fought over the last few bites. James was top notch as our waiter. Seriously best restaurant in Nashville don’t miss this spot!

Absolutely amazing brunch spot! The oysters were very fresh. The burger was a nice classic. And the Turkish eggs are a must. The Turkish eggs had a little kick, but don’t let that scare you. The dish is crafted very well. I would definitely get that again! Not pictured is a mimosa. I highly recommend it. They definitely use high-quality ingredients – if I were to describe it I would call it a high-end mimosa. Which is rare to find at a lot of brunch spots. Our server was absolutely amazing and described the menu well. I wish I could remember her name, 5+ stars to her! I recommend sitting at the oyster bar if you enjoy sitting at open kitchens.
