Food was excellent. Friend got the schnitzel and the sourkraut and potatoes were absolutely delicious. I got the chicken pesto sandwich with extra cheese and it was to die for! The pesto is one of the best I’ve had. Dominic primarily took care of us and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. The little shop was also amazing! We will definitely be back!

My mom and I have been coming to Henk’s since I was about 8–10 years old (I’m now 32), so this review is coming from a longtime customer.
I came in around 3:10pm, knowing it was close to closing time, but the young lady assisting me seemed irritated from the moment I asked what cakes were left. She answered in a very dry tone and didn’t acknowledging me much.
What bothered me most was that she was cheerful and talkative with her coworkers while handling my cake, but her attitude changed completely when dealing with me. It felt unprofessional and unlike the service I’ve always received here.
This is the first time I’ve ever had an experience like this at Henk’s. Staff is usually kind and helpful, especially one long-time employee I recognized who was assisting another customer at the time.
I love this bakery. Just a disappointing experience today.

Today is my supervisors birthday and I usually buy the birthday cakes. I decided to google a place near the job because she loves a German Chocolate cake. I found this spot and I am so happy I discovered them. The cake was beautiful and delicious to those that like this flavored cake. It’s a small restaurant, store and bakery that hides in a corner. The staff is very polite and welcoming. It’s worth the visit. They also have the most hilarious birthday cards for adults. If you’re in the area, stop by.

What a unique place! Amazing German authenticity! If you are looking for a quick German-filled experience, stop here. Frome the beer sticks to schnitzel to bratwurst and the cakes/pastries, wow, you can’t go wrong. The staff was so friendly – watching them greet each person by name, genuinely embrace them as they left, and the smiles across everyone especially faces. It has a small diner and beer-hall feel to the restaurant. Come for the food, shop in their German inspired grocery store, and leave with a treat. You won’t be dissapointed.

Hands down the best place to get cakes from the flavors are unmatched. My family buys a cake from here every birthday party we have our favorite one will have to be the Black forrest cake it is rich in the chocolate and cherry European sweets are the best. 10/10!!
