It was a busy Saturday morning but service was still great. I believe Danielle was our server. So many intriguing breakfast choices. I went with the bananas foster french toast. Hoping that the place is still around the next time we travel to the area because we found it the last day of our trip and couldn’t try any additional foods!

Our daughter and fiancé excitedly recommended Hen House cafe at this location, 3244 E Guadalupe Rd, Gilbert, telling us that the chicken waffle was too be experienced, and indeed it was. Our server, Terry, long time employee was gracious and informative. You will see from our photos what we ordered. I tried the waffle (Belgian btw) with chicken, and add recommended an egg on the side to top the chicken, which was very good. The portions are generous. The food arrived pretty quickly and nice and warm. Fun and good experience. Give this location a try! Oh, j o early as they fill up quickly!!

Biscuits were some of the best. Soft and fluffy not like some that are like hockey pucks. The gravy had a good amount of sausage and the sausages on the side were fresh sausage not the frozen stuff others try to pass off. Eggs and potatoes were good as well. Our waitress was attentive without being intrusive as well as friendly.

I’d highly recommend this restaurant

I had breakfast here with friends and our server was amazing and took great care of us. The lemon blueberry pancake was just as good as I remembered and definitely lived up to the hype.

We had a great breakfast at the Henhouse I got the corned beef hash and my husband had the machaca beef skillet with orange juice and coffee. The orange juice tasted super fresh, the coffee was alright, and my pancake swap was totally worth it since it was huge and had a tasty cinnamon flavor like a snickerdoodle. The place has plenty of seating and is a solid pick for anyone who loves breakfast food.

I had such a good experience at The Hen House today that I had to leave a review. The food was solid, but the service is what really made it worth coming back — specifically Jess and Ryler.

Jess (Server):
She was on it from the second we sat down. Super friendly, upbeat, and genuinely made the whole meal feel easy. Drinks stayed filled, she checked in at the right times without hovering, and she actually paid attention to what we needed. Bright, cheery, and just really good at her job.

Ryler (Busser):
Quietly killing it in the background. Tables were cleared fast, waters refilled immediately, and he was extremely helpful without even needing to be asked. Clean, efficient, and clearly hard-working. One of those bussers that makes the whole place run smoother.

I’d come back for the service alone. These two are the kind of people who make a breakfast spot feel welcoming. Highly recommend!

Upon arrival we were immediately told we would not be able to be seated since we had coffee drinks from our local Dutch Bros which was fine so we elected to order to go. One waitress came by then left then sat there for several minutes with no one returning to take our order. The whole vibe and atmosphere was off, must be a Mexican thing since I didn’t see anyone else of my color, thanks for keeping me from spending money here. Will never go back again. Oh and by the way Village Inn let us come in with our coffee and served us well.

We were on our way to Gilbert and was looking for a restaurant and saw a sign cafe. My friend and stopped in for the 1st time and we both got the eggs Benedict. It was wonderful. Danielle was our delightful waitress and invited us back. Wonderful atmosphere, food, and fast service.

Great food and staff. Had the hash and tomato basil soup. Both were good. Only reason for low stars was it felt like there was no AC when we went. People were fanning themselves with menus. Part of the restaurant had a tarp separating two sides of the place, which was weird. Other than that, it was great.

I didn’t get the waitress’s name, but she had curly blonde hair and was so sweet! We went twice while we were in town and she was our waitress both times. We brought our grandma here with us and she took extra time with her to answer her questions and didn’t make her feel rushed. The food was great with generous portions, especially if you get any of the pancakes.
