I have been to several Hendersons (Duncanville, Lancaster, Ledbetter etc.) I figured I would try Camp Wisdom. Well it was the worst experience out of all them. I ordered a large Gizzard for my wife at 1:40 pm. I did not leave with my order until 2:32 pm . They asked me what was my order at 2:15 pm but still not take inconsiderate how long I had been there. The other waiting customers started looking at me. Totally sad.

Quick, hot and fresh. The seasoning is phenomenal, bread is delicious and fresh. Your order comes with hot fries, pickles, peppers, don’t skip out on the carrots (my preference ). They have a cake vendor TRY IT, you won’t regret it.

Pretty honest staff that go extra arrived there late at night upon almost closing time and they still took me in they were pretty clear that there was going to be a waiting time for their chicken to be prep which I was willing to wait after waiting for 15 minutes they handed out my order and when I got home and opened up my order I was surprised they threw in an extra piece of chicken for the waiting time which was awesome on their behalf, absolutely love the waffle pickles that come with the order.

Guy in there is on point. He was great with customer service and cooking at the same time. First thing In Morning he was alone for about 19 to 15 minutes. Needs a raise did a great job by his self.

We met to try the chicken place just like 1 store down, but saying that we are happy we ended up here. Let me tell you the chicken was great. I recommend you get the 2 piece with fries. It was awesome loved the flavor and it was cooked just right. It comes with lots of fries yeah that combo alone is enough. The staff super friendly (my Shayla). I’d recommend the chicken with the bone in, tried the tinder but the one with the bone was so much better. 4 stars for the price and taste.

I stop here about once a week. Not for myself , but for my mother in law! So let’s just say I’m a regular. I preferably like to go towards the end of the week because I know my ladies will be on the front line. Sorry guys, y’all try when their off but it’s so much better when the ladies are there; I know that chicken will be hot and seasoned and pickled/peppered to perfection! I never have one complaint. The prices are fair for the economy we are in and for the price you are going to get great service and great food. If it’s okra or corn fritters, their going to drop it fresh for you. And they never forget my 2 slices of white bread. Don’t play with my people at Hendersons Camp Wisdom. Tell them J sent you and thank me later! ✌

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a Hendersons in quite a while the chicken and fries was fresh the pickles and peppers were crispy and full of flavor the service was prompt and accurate the older lady working at the front (I’ma call her aunty ) was on point hands down with a very polite demeanor I’ll definitely be back to this location when i visit my home town again
