PHENOMENAL!! I was stopping at the post office here in Tigard today (January 17th, 2026) and much to my surprise I noticed a food truck between the post office and the wine shop next door! I snagged one of their menus, asked the chef running it how late they’d be open, and then sat down to look at the menu while sitting on the bench a ways away from the shop. The prices already looked great (generally around $10~15 for most dishes), but it was the aroma wafting down to where I was sitting that *really* pulled me in. For the month of January they’re apparently giving out a complimentary Thai tea or some kind of dessert with your purchase (I’m not sure what kind of dessert, I hadn’t asked), so I was handed a Thai tea when I paid for my order. It was easily the best Thai tea I’ve ever had and I let the chef know as soon as I’d tasted it. I got the crispy chicken rice and it more than exceeded my expectations. The batter was *perfectly* fried; light, crispy, and airy. The accompanying sweet and sour sauce was delicious and everything was super fragrant and flavorful. The chef couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. He said this was literally only their SEVENTH DAY(!!) of operation–shocking considering how insanely well-done everything was. These guys are going to be busy as hell soon with all the love they’re getting, check them out so you can say you were in on the ground floor like I was!!

TERRIFIC THAI FOOD
Scrumptious pork krapao and fantastic Khao man gai. We loved everything we got here and found the curry to be uniquely tasty. Papaya salad I ordered as a 3 and it was “American” spicy, but not Thai spicy.
This fella was working solo the night I came and I had to be patient for my food to be ready.
My husband LOVED the food and said it’s the best Thai he has had in Portland. We’ve added it to our takeout list and are already looking forward to next visit.

I will 100% be back, you NEED to try this food truck!! I got the Khao Moo Krob (crispy pork belly, Chinese sausage, cucumber and hard boiled egg with a sesame sauce on the side). Absolutely delicious. I also received a free Thai tea – one of the best I’ve ever had, it actually has flavor vs just being plain black tea. The owner is so incredibly nice as well. Stoked about my experience and can’t wait to try more items!

I had a wonderful experience trying the Henako chicken rice for the first time. This is a really good food truck, and from the moment I arrived, I felt very welcome because the owner was extremely friendly and kind. The food was delicious and clearly prepared with care. The chicken rice had great flavor, and I really enjoyed the unique combination of Thai and Chinese cuisine, it was something a little different and very tasty.

Delicious! We went right before closing and he was so kind and helpful. We ordered the combo rice and the beef penang – holy wow. The curry definitely has some heat to it, as advertised. The combo was an excellent way to sample both kinds of chicken and both sauces, which are wildly different taste experiences. There’s a promo to try the dessert this month too, sweet and delicious! I can’t wait to go back, I’m glad to have them in the neighborhood.

We tried Henako for the first time and it is truly so so amazing! We got the combo chicken rice, tom Kha gai and the coconut soup dessert. The crispy chicken has such good flavor. The soup that comes with it compliments the rice so well. If you like bold flavors, you have to try the tom kha gai. The Thai tea and the coconut soup dessert just has the right amount of sweetness. Probably the best Thai tea I’ve ever had! The owners are super friendly and I’m for sure going back with my family again!

Our 3 and 6 year old girls fell in love with the chicken rice. The chicken was so nice and tender and our picky girls were extremely happy with stuffed tummy. They are very picky and we usually have hard time finding food they like outside the house. We will definitely come back!
