Some tasty, interesting dishes! Nice theming / decor and cleanest restaurant bathroom I’ve ever seen. Expensive, but at least what we got was quality. Server was great – polite and patient. Pork bowl was great, but adding avocado is expensive. Octopus was good. Plantain chips were great! No fries come with burgers / sandwiches unfortunately and adding them is not cheap. You can purchase a jar of their jalapeno salsa which is uniquely good, but it’s very expensive. Overall, we enjoyed this place, but wish it was more affordable so we could visit more again.

Think key west and throw in some cuban influences for an interesting menu with lot of varirty. I had the dmoked fish with plantain chips which was tasty anf unusual. Cuban sandwich was so-so, had better. Conch chowder was tasty. Good selection of unusual drinks. Limited draft beers but lots of can/bottle selections. Good desserts including classic keylime pie. Prices were reasonable.

Overall, this place was good. I was honestly expecting a bit more interesting flavors. The menu seems to have a large variety of options. I also appreciate the mix of Caribbean flavors. Plantains chips/ fush dip was good. Overall, I wasn’t blown away by the flavors and also think the Caribbean flavors lacked authenticity. The restaurant itself looked like a nice chill place/ family place.

Food is great. Price is a bit high but not too bad. My favorite dish is the Hemingway’s Platter. Be careful that this platter is best enjoyed by two people, as there are two slabs of ribs per plate.

Everything here was great! Food was fast even for it being very busy. Flavor and portions exceeded my expectations and prices were standard for the quality of food we received. Actually cheaper than eating in our hotel. If we were local this would become a regular spot for us for sure!

Ordered a burger with avocado and fried egg that has glazed balsamic dressing, with maduros ( sweet plantains) on the side. Food quality was excellent. I just wanted to give praise to the restraint staff and manager as everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy their job and seemed happy. Charlie S. Was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering and helped my husband navigate the menu. My husband had also thoroughly enjoyed his burger with guava BBQ sauce, cheese and potato straws with sweet potatoes on the side with savory seasonings. He got the plantain bread pudding that had whipped cream and caramel sauce. The coleslaw had it’s very own delicious unique flavor. The highlight of the whole place was the antique ship decor placed around the restaurant and photos of Hemingway himself. On the way out a staff member informed us that the candles on display were being sold by a local merchant and are refillable.

Visited here for the first time this past Saturday for brunch. I did not know what to expect, but was greatly surprised at the great service, food and drink. Some places locally can be hit or miss.
Our server was Charlie, ans she was more than gracious for allowing our party to take up her table for the length of time we did. We had some out of town visitors and were getting caught up.
Two of us had the Fried green tomatoe Benedict. Which was wonderful tasting with crisp tomato, a chickpea patty and the sauce that topped it, made it perfect. The sweet potato fries and home fries were also very good. Ready to go back and try some authentic key west fare.

Amazing*** vegan options!!!
The vegan modifications and offerings are really well thought out. The flavors are delicious- this isn’t a throw something together and offer you salad kind of place- this is great quality food. Love this place for putting some thought and intention into the vegan options. Very appreciated. I will be back.

Finally made it to Hemingways Tavern before we caught a movie at the theater nextdoor. So happy we made it! Loved the vibe, our server was fantastic, and the food was delicious! Both my fiancé and I got the Snapper Hemingway and agreed it was the largest piece of snapper we’ve ever seen. We are in love with the island rice it comes with. Conch Fritters were really good, and cocktails were on point too. Can’t wait to go back!
