The place is clean and has lots of seating. Lots of parking too. All the Kinza cans were nicely displayed. The music was fitting, not too loud.

The staff was kind and helpful since it was my first visit.

The lamb shawarma in fluffy pita was tender and well seasoned. Pita is as described, but a little oily from grilling. The pickles aren’t overpowering. The fries are nicely seasoned and not overly salty; nice and crunchy. Good amount of fries in the combo. The falafel is very crispy on the outside yet not dry inside.

I would come again when in the area. Maybe try the wrap or baguette instead though.

Lombard is has a good competition of shawarma places and this definitely hovers around top. The place is brightly lit, lots of space to sit and eat. The shawarma itself was really filling and big portions. But it’s really on the expensive side. Wouldn’t want a 15.99 shawarma. They supposed to be cheaper. Tasted really good and fresh. Friendly staff. Definitely recommended.

So… it’s all hyped up, shining like a brand-new masjid carpet on Eid day. Yes, it’s clean, nice looking, and Instagram-ready. But let’s talk about the food.

What they proudly called a “shawarma sandwich” turned out to be a wrap in thin bread—more like a roti or chapati you’d find in Karachi or Lucknow. Except, instead of fresh off the tawa, it slipped out of a plastic bag like a lazy student escaping madrasa. They didn’t even bother to warm it up before stuffing the meat inside. Result? A cold, floppy roti hugging lukewarm meat like a forced marriage.

Flavor? Let’s just say the tahini sauce was the only soldier fighting for survival. Without it, I would’ve been chewing boiled goat that ran out of spices somewhere between Beirut and Bareilly. For almost $20 a pop, I expected fireworks in my mouth, not funeral potatoes.

And the service—ya Allah. Two employees, both serving like they were doing me a favor. I cracked a few jokes to lighten the mood, but these guys stayed frozen like they were auditioning for “Shawarma: The Silent Movie.” If this is their grand opening energy, I give it six months before the “For Lease” sign takes over the storefront.

Advice? Smile, even if you have one customer. Warm the roti like every auntie knows to do before serving. And give customers a choice: spicy, flavorful shawarma for the desi palate—or plain boiled sadness for those who don’t know better.

As it stands, “Hello Shawarma” feels more like “Goodbye Shawarma.”

Beef shawarma tasted awful, almost as if it was old and expired. It had a bad smell to it and you can tell it was not cut off the fresh rotating beef. The chicken was cold. Staff seem very upset and instead of trying to offer alternatives dismissed the concerns. The cook slammed things out of anger in front of me. Will never go to this place again. Save your time and drive down the street to the original shawarma. The place is smaller but offers high quality food and great staff.

We stopped by Hello Shawarma in Lombard and tried a variety of items, and everything hit the spot! The steak and chicken fluffy pita shawarma was delicious (sadly they were out of lamb by the time we arrived around 9 PM, so we’ll definitely come earlier next time). We also ordered mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, a customizable steak bowl (which is such a great option), a crunchy breaded chicken wrap, and even a soup-like dish. Everything was flavorful and satisfying.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and modern. The yellow-and-gray aesthetic really pops, with lots of seating, nice furniture, and plenty of wall chargers for convenience. There’s also ample parking since it’s located in a shopping area. I especially appreciated the unique drink selection—it’s nice to see local businesses being supported.
Prices are reasonable overall, though I will say the $15 sandwich doesn’t come with fries or a drink, but the quality makes it worth it.
Overall, highly recommended! A great spot to grab a late-night bite with good vibes, tasty food, and a clean, inviting atmosphere.

So, I’ve been seeing this place long time and I was confused about it and finally got a chance to try it out. The food was okay, I mean the food i ordered (steak salad – protein bowl) the service was good, they’re good. It’s clean also but it’s kinda crowded inside or they’re just busy (lots of costumer) . Overall, it’s good!.

I was really looking forward to trying this location, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations—especially compared to the original spot in Bridgeview. The taste and overall quality were noticeably different.

The shawarma here seems more like grilled chicken than the authentic, traditional style I’ve enjoyed before. I also felt that the portion size for the $6 fries wasn’t quite worth the price.

If you’re familiar with the Bridgeview location, just be aware that this one offers a very different experience

This place never disappoints. The shawarma wrap and hummus were both delicious and full of flavor. The restaurant was clean, the service was quick, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Mediterranean food.

Decided to check out this place. .got a fluffy pita chicken shawarma and lentil soup to go. Service was fast and friendly. Place was clean .
Shawarma had plenty of meat in it . Tasty. The sauces were more towards the bottom .when I got there the flavor increased. Pickled vegetable salad bar s a nice touch. Lentil soup was thick and tasty.
