Our handcrafted baked goods go back three generations. Our heirloom recipes have been passed down by Yiayia Helen. Helen lived through challenging times but always brought pure joy and love to her family primarily through her love of cooking and baking. For our family, home is our Yiayia Helen. Home was where you would find the scent of dishes simmering on the stove or in the oven along with an embrace when you walked through the door. Her happiest moments were shared with her children and grandchildren and when she knew your tummy was full.

I stopped by this charming little bakery today and was so impressed by how fresh and beautifully presented everything was—from the koulourakia and biscotti to the warm, soft cinnamon rolls that were almost sold out. The staff wrapped my box with a cute blue ribbon, which made the experience feel extra special, and you can really see the care they put into every pastry. Such a cozy spot with delicious treats—I’ll definitely be back!

Just had a fantastic scone at Helen’s bakery. Everyone of my family had to have a bite (or three). It was the lightest scone I ever had. It was moist and delicious. That’s hard to do, in my experience.

I’m usually too lazy to write reviews, but when a place is this good, I can’t gatekeep it. I just got back from Greece and I was craving some of the lesser-known baked goods I tried there, like Bougatsa. I got the last piece today, along with their spanikopita and Portokalopita. It blew me away. I texted every metro Detroit Greek person in my phone book and told them “Don’t walk, RUN” to this place. Make sure to come here, but if there’s only one piece of bougatsa left, you better leave it for me.

We stopped here during the Plymouth Art Walk, purchasing the Lemon Cake and Baklava. Both items were DELICIOUS and the prices were pretty good. Everyone inside was also so kind. We will definitely be going back.

Delicious cinnamon rolls and carrot cake!!!! I am SO glad I stopped in here. As soon as I walked in, I could smell the sweet air and feel welcomed in the cute shop. If you’re considering going here, you should. Prices are SO reasonable too. I really wish I lived closer or I’d come here every week!!!

Helen’s Bakery was recommended to me by a friend and it did NOT disappoint! I got a few different items to try and share and all were good. I’ll break those down below. But literally EVERYTHING looked and smelled so good! Everyone was so nice and friendly, too. Honestly, the prices are super affordable too! I would have expected prices to be higher so you get such a good deal. The quality and service was 10x better than a chain like Starbucks and it was even cheaper! Being so close to Helen’s Bakery is going to be dangerous! If you like baked goods, this is a must!

Chocolate Chip Cookie: very good! If I had to pick one dessert to eat for the rest of my life it would be cookies. This chocolate chip cookie did not disappoint. I’m not really sure what it was, but something tasted a bit unique about it (in a good way!). Super solid chocolate chip cookie.

Cinnamon Roll: I’m not the biggest cinnamon roll fan, but this was solid! It was nice and warm which was a pleasant surprise. Pretty gooey and a nice light icing.

Chocolate Chip Scone: I love a good scone. Honestly, my ideal scone is blueberry, but, you can never go wrong with chocolate. Whereas the chocolate chip cookie was very sweet, this scone has the classic subtle sweetness to it. It was a really nice flaky pastry with some nice sweet chips.

Everything was very good and I cannot wait to try more of the baked good from Helen’s Bakery!

I recently stopped by Helen’s bakery. I bought four items: Spinach pie, focaccia (w/pickle), carrot cake and a Galaktoboureko. All the items were fresh and delicious. The young woman, grand-daughter of “Helen” was friendly and helpful in explaining the items I was interested in buying. I’ll defininately be back!

Great bakery!! Fantastic goods. They are from the island of Ikaria yet they don’t play that up (since that’s a place where everyone loves to be 100). Instead their baked goods tell the story. Fantastic lemon cake and spinach pies!

Helen’s Bakery is so picturesque. Not only is it cute inside, the food looks like a magazine layout! Some of the best spinach pie I’ve ever had. We will be back for a taste of the Almond Ricotta and the carrot cake. There is only one table with two chairs.
