Such a great atmosphere and space. Soup dumplings are a favorite and always fresh. Yolk buns are a must try.

Absolutely delicious. Came here after waiting 30 minute past our reservation time at Benihana. We ordered soup dumplings, Helen’s dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli beef, mala string beans, and beef chow fun. Everything was delicious, fresh, not too heavy, and clearly made in house. It was a perfect end to an otherwise frustrating evening!

Authentic, wholesome flavors – a hidden gem for chinese food in Columbus! We came on a quiet Sunday evening and ordered the 小笼包, 干锅花菜, and 红烧肉 and they were simply delicious!! Full of flavor, not too salty, with rich spices and perfectly cooked veggies, and very generous portions. Very thoughtful and attentive service as well. Highly recommend!

Being from Houston, TX, and it being a giant melting pot and huge Chinatown, I’m pretty picky about my Chinese/Asian food. Finally, I’ve found a restaurant that’s up to par with the food back home! We got the Sesame Chicken (left), Salt & Pepper Squid (middle) and the Beef Chow Fun (right). The Sesame Chicken had the right amount of crunch with the fried breading. The sauce was a little thick but still really good. The Salt & Pepper Squid, an all time favorite of mine, was salty, savory and crunchy. The Beef Chow Fun was flavorful and the pieces of beef in it were a great touch. There was only one other family in the restaurant since we came an hour before closing but the staff male member was incredibly fast and efficient with getting us seated, delivering waters right away and bringing our food out fast.
Definitely found my new go-to Chinese restaurant for dine-in and to-go!

Not the best flavored Chinese foods.

It seems that the restaurant has adopted its foods which have lost some of its authentic Chinese flavors. For example, the hot pepper it uses in the two dishes we ordered are jalapenos, instead of some more traditional hot peppers found in other Chinese restaurants around the country.

The restaurant is clean, the staff members are friendly and accommodating.

Due to the lack of serving staff, it does allow for dine-in for lunch on the Saturday we visited. However, after requesting using its space without the traditional service offered for a dine-in, the owner happily allowed so. Another family followed suit shortly after us.

Had a recent visit, picked this spot since it was out of the normal strip eateries. It was well worth it!

Totally amazing atmosphere! Food was awesome! Wish I could find a place like this near our home. Family thinking it’s worth the 4 hr drive for the great dinner when we want Asain food.

Decent: soup dumplings/Xiao long bao
Ok: wontons in spicy sauce,Helen’s dumplings, turnip cake
Meh: spring roll, lotus leaf wrapped sticky rice (nuo mi ji), shao mai/sui mai, pork bun

No recommendations here but it was all passable.

I guess I should have lowered my expectation for being out in the Midwest, nothing tastes quite the way I expect dim sum to taste.

Soup dumplings were not soupy but tasted ok

The nou mi ji were REALLY small and didn’t actually have the chicken filling in the center, just a few pieces of dried shrimp and shiitakes mixed in

Pork bun was a little falling apart

Helen’s pork dumplings were pretty bland. The ones in spicy sauce were maybe a 2.5/10 spicy

Unassuming little restaurant behind the waffle house. If you’re looking for fine dining Chinese food, this is definitely not it.

Friendly and fast service. The food is decent. I was pleasantly surprised by the Fish in Chili Oil dish as it was really good!

Dim sum though? Not too impressed. I guess if you’re really craving dim sum, this would do in a pinch. Drinks are all bottled and you pick from their fridge at the front. Even water is a $1 dollar bottle of kirkland water.

Overall, small town expectations. Gave it 4 stars for the fish in chili oil!
