Hands down the best BBQ I’ve had within 100 miles. They use only certified Angus prime beef and all prime meats, which makes all the difference in the world. I had the “Beast Rib”. Incredibly juicy and tender, smoked low (200 degrees) and slow (12-14 hours) over real live fire (post oak), with an amazing seasoning rub that builds perfect bark without overpowering the meat. Outstanding!
The environment is clean, modern, and open. Service was outstanding: friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Shoutout to the pitmaster Allan, who took the time to show me the pits out back and explain exactly how the pit works. That kind of passion and transparency makes the experience even better.
Seems a bit expensive compared to some spots, but after tasting the quality, it’s worth every single penny. You’re paying for top-tier ingredients, real craftsmanship, and results that blow away most other places.
If you’re in the Weatherford, TX area and want legit, elevated Texas barbecue, go to Heim, you won’t be disappointed. Easily 5 stars, and I’ll be back soon!
Highly recommend!

Quick Summary

If you’re looking for incredible barbeque, generous sides, and excellent staff, Heim is your only option.

Vibe & Atmosphere

Very social. Patrons can have conversations in line and at their table. Noise level is a bit high, but reasonable for the open-air design. We spoke at a normal volume with no lost words. Upon entering, guests are immediately greeted by a friendly staff member, handed a laminated menu, and explained the process for getting food. As customers reach the front of the line, an employee takes the order and hands the customer a number. At the next stop in the line, the customer pays and is told the staff will bring the order to the table.

Food

* Pulled Pork – outstanding – very tender and cooked to perfection – both mild and spicy sauces were perfect

* Chopped Brisket – a close runner-up – meaty, lean, and very tasty – both mild and spicy sauces were perfect my

* Onion Rings – WOW – an order of four of the largest, thickest, and tastiest rings we’ve ever had

Green Chili Mac ‘n’ Cheese – the perfect blend of mild green chili, cheese, and enjoyable noodles

Service

Service was great. We were immediately greeted, handed a menu, told how the line flows, and given a brief summary of the process. The server, who brought our food to the table, was very polite and ensured we had everything we needed

Price & Value

The price was far below average. We were able to eat only about 2/3 oz our meal because of the generous portions. We spent less on a shared meal with leftovers, than we’ve spent for meals that left us hungry. Heim is an outstanding value.

Final Verdict

Heim has the best BBQ in the area, large portions, washer staff, and small prices.

We tried a new spot for lunch…The prices are reasonable and the food is very tasty!! They really did a great job changing this location into a bright, clean and family friendly restaurant. They have seating for small and large groups as well as seating at the bar. We tried the meat sampler and the pick 3 sides… We wanted to sample some of their meat dishes without getting a full serving (Plenty of food for 2 people)… we did order food to take home to try later for dinner. Half chicken and smoked turkey as well as 1 each of the desserts… (banana pudding, chocolate brownie and peach cobbler) We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and we are looking forward to going back again.
***Also, they do have take home items that are in their freezer by the entrance. The directions for reheating are printed out and are on the door.***

Hubby and I split the Heimburger and fries! Both were 10/10. I had the Heim Rita….twice! Also very good, not too sweet. Sat at the bar; great service. The patio looks like it’ll be a great place to sit when the weather warms up. Definitely will be back.

Food was good. Size of portions was big. Onion rings are huge. Pulled pork sandwich and brisket sliders was really moist. Fried pickles with ranch. Very good Banana pudding. And peach cobbler all good.

Cole Slaw was excellent. Nice chopped consistency, great semi sweet vinaigrette dressing. Chopped BBQ was cold, pretty fatty & had way too much salty bark in it. The BBQ sauce was below average.
Twice baked potato salad was a large portion, but lacked flavor.
Peach cobbler had a nice presentation, but crust was way too sweet. I could only eat the peaches.

(My 2stars is because the Cole slaw was so good. Other items were a disappointment. To present the meat cold, which should have been the star of the show, was a lack of care. And you absolutely cannot load a portion of chopped Brisket up with salty bark)
They have really done a nice job with the modern look of this establishment, but 3/4 of my plate fell flat. I really was looking for my new go-to BBQ place, but I didn’t find it.

Wow what an awesome addition to Weatherford! The building is huge and beautifully designed, the staff was very friendly and I liked the ordering process. We sat on the patio at night and the tree covered in lights is so fun. I tried the potato skins for the first time and those are a new favorite. This location really is the whole package.

The place is totally different on the inside very open and in my opinion the way the old place should have been when the original business first opened. Great food jalapeño cheddar sausage not to spicey with option for spicy BBQ sauce at the table and also had the sliced brisket which was juicy not dry I used the regular BBQ sauce also at rhe table that I enjoyed. The onion rings and okra where great not hard crust but just rite. They have loaves of white bread you help yourself to at the condomint selection by the fountain drinks with the jalapeños,onion, and pickles. Been to the other places in town grew up here and have a sentimental favorite but the prices here were very reasonable next time I go for BBQ going to heims first.

I tried to like it. The brisket was dry and looked old. The fries were the only decent part of my meal. It was $20 for lunch and a let down. Hopefully your experience is better. Place was clean and staff was attentive.
