While visiting Lake City for a family reunion, I stopped by Heidi’s Huggamug Café for breakfast—and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Rise & Shine and it was absolutely delicious. The food was fresh and flavorful. You can tell they put care into every part of the meal, from the perfectly cooked eggs to the crispy hashbrowns.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy small-town charm that made me feel right at home. The staff were friendly and attentive, creating a relaxed and inviting experience from start to finish.
This spot is a true gem, and I can see why it has such great ratings. If you’re in Lake City, make sure you don’t miss Heidi’s Huggamug Café. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town!

This restaurant and coffee shop is AMAZING! The lattes were delicious and the skillets were perfect. My husband said the raspberry flip is, “The best thing I’ve ever tasted”. In addition, Heidi was very kind and the service was impeccable. We will definitely return when we come back to this region.

I, along with my business partner, stopped in at 6am, 5 minutes after they opened. We were on our way to MSP.
I couldn’t have been greeted with more warmth, excitement, and appreciation. Heidi and her team are exactly why I go out of my way to find a local place anywhere I go.
If all you care about is the quality of the coffee and breakfast, then you’ll also be quite satisfied. I am always in search of the best breakfast burrito, and Heidi’s is top 2 all time out of 100+. Cappuccino was top notch as well.
At the end of the day, we all have a choice on where we spend our time and money. I’m going with Heidi’s 10/10 vs the big box brands. Thank you, Heidi & team. You made our day!

A great little find. We were in need of a cappuccino as we headed out of town. Was sent here by hotel and decided to stay and have a full breakfast sitting outside among the flowers. Was a great decision and referral. The omelet was fluffy and flavorful. Hubby’s breakfast burrito looked great. We will definitely return when back in town. Oh, and coffee was smooth and tasty. We took home bakery items and have to say they were not as great as the sit down breakfast.

Great little cafe in Lake City. Everyone was very friendly and answered any questions we had. The food was so good and felt like a home cooked meal from my grandma. So good and filling. Have both breakfast and lunch options. Many different options if you like specialty coffees. Will definitely be going back again. Thank you for the wonderful service!!

Update, I’ve been here in the area for business the last week and have founds this lovely place on Google. I am so happy I did! Each time I came in the service was amazing, the food was perfect, the drinks are delicious, and the views are spectacular! I met the owner, Heidi ( and her very nice husband), and she is absolutely wonderful! Upbeat, excited, and very pleasant. I enjoyed her ability not only to bake all the wonderful goods she sells, but she makes a fantastic effort to make rounds and talk to each customer! The remembers everybody’s name, and always is smiling! This is what is it all about!! If and when I am in town, I will only eat here for bfast, you know what’s going on Heidi! Thank you Heidi and staff, you are all wonderful! I hope to see you all soon!
