Amazing hidden gem!
It’s as good as any of the local surrounding sushi places such as sushi bar, nhinja, etc.

awesome sushi !!! if this place seems not busy it because most orders are take out. we go here once a week and have only eaten in 2 times. it is very fresh sushi. also a very cute girl used to work here, i think her name was lucy. worth a stop !!!

Hefner Sushi & Poke never disappoints!!!
Ordered with Doordash and the quality of ingredients was amazing. The rice was perfectly cooked- sticky but soft- and especially paired well with the squishy salmon in the Lady Love roll. Really enjoyed the taste of sesame. I liked the cream cheese and eel sauce on the Bagel Roll, too.
Update: ordered a tuna and salmon poke bowl and it’s absolutely amazing. The amalgamation of the fresh ingredients is super great.

I got the Captain Crunch roll, Shrimp Nigiri, and Pork Steamed Dumplings. The sushi roll was very good, but I liked the shrimp nigiri the best. Good prices for the quantity & the quality is better than the other sushi locations nearby. Will be back!

I have to say, I enjoyed every single drop of Kyi Oo (Poke Mee), chef’s special soup. Considering the quality and freshness, the price is reasonable and 100% worth it.
Menu is extensive from sushi to poke to soups to party trays including veggie options.
This is my first time in Hefner Sushi & Poke and YOU have to go! Owners are awesome and service is unmatched.

1st time there. I order poke bowls. I was disappointed. The portion size of the items that were n the bowl was like literally a pinch. U can count maybe 5 spinach leaves. Tiny pinch of seaweed and i paid $4 bucks extra for the shrimp (shown n pic) which was horribly portioned. The rice??? Where is it? The spring mix i finally found it. They could had at least filled the bowl with rice. I think I’m just use to customizing my own bowl. I don’t like these surprises one bit. I’m used to carrots and peas and more seaweed ..like this is a kiddie bowl!!! And the egg rolls were good but again it’s the portion size for me. The egg rolls were skinny..not enough veggies n them. Im not a big complainer HOWEVER when u spend over 60 bucks u would think your getting your money’s worth. Just saying. I’m more disappointed about the portion that’s all. Also at least tell me i can pay extra for some sauce. And not act like u can’t give me more at all.
All that said…I wouldn’t do the poke bowls MYSELF again BUT i would try their poke. The food tasted good tho. Just saying

I love telling people about this place. First of all, it’s the only sushi place open on Sundays for miles around in the Hefner/Rockwell area. Secondly, I’m pretty sure the people who own it are the ones behind the counter. Lastly the food is always fresh and delicious. I come every Sunday for the Spicy Smoked Salmon roll and a Crunchy Crab roll. Delicious.

The staff were pleasant, the atmosphere was calm, and the food was unexpectedly good. I was surprised of the quality, I’d surge its rivals other longer established sushi restaurants and has some of them beat with a better price point. I hope they keep up the quality as well as keep their prices not astronomic. Many restaurants jack up their prices once they build a customer base.
