Went with friends to celebrate the end of the work week. Alcoholic drinks were great. Food was fresh and hot? Fried ice cream and flan were the bomb! A definite must.

I came in, they treated me with respect and greeted me properly. The place was clean, bathroom clean and the food portion was sufficient for a working man’s appetite. I had a cheese quesadilla with mixed vegetables. I’ll gladly return and spend more money with them when I’m in the area. I hope they can get on the upside app to make it even more enticing. Five stars.

This is a great little out of the way spot! We started with the Chirizo Queso which was just the right combination of rich and creamy with Chorizo spice. Chips were made there at the restaurant and came out warm and crispy.I had the enchiladas poblanos. It was topped with a tasty sauce and served with beans and rice. My son’s had the Fajitas Mexicanos. Veggies were cooked al dented and it had a steak, chicken, shrimp and ground beef combo. Food was delicious and plentiful. With both took home leftovers. Staff was friendly and welcoming. If you are in the area and looking for a good place to eat with reasonable prices, friendly service and excellent food. This is a must!

Excellent Mexican food. Complimentary chips and salsa exceed the standard; suggest their guac and queso. Very fast and very friendly but recommend reservations for a crowded Thur-Sat evening.

My coworker and I stopped here today on the way back from working at Quantico National Cemetery. What a great surprise! I had the Fajitas Mexicanas and he had the chimichanga. Really tasty and I love the fact I didn’t have to beg for guac and sour cream, etc. It was already a part of the meal. Excellent flavor on the fajitas, like maybe they used pablanos. Really relaxing atmosphere, too.

We were in the area & decided to stop by for lunch. As soon as we stepped in, we were greeted with “Hola amigas” left & right. Such nice servers! Chips & salsa were on the house & salsa was fresh with a great kick to it. Chips were crispy & fried fresh.

Guacamole: super fresh! Loved it.
-Fajita express with beef: amazing. Meat was super tender & flavorful. Rice was fluffy & delicious.
-Chile relleno, beans, crispy beef taco: so good! The Chile was soft & nicely roasted with cheese on top. Beef taco was crispy & meaty.
-Churros: this was amazing!! Churro was so crispy & delicious. Perfectly sweet & nicely accompanied by chocolate drizzle & icecream. A must order, in my opinion.
-kids hamburger & fries: nothing special as expected for a tex mex place, but my son LOVED it, which is what matters 🙂
Overall, it’s a great spot! Hospitality is unmatched. Everyone is so friendly. Prices are GREAT & portions are generous. We will certainly be back.

I’m not a huge Mexican food person, so I can’t say a whole lot about the food but I did enjoy it. The desserts are phenomenal! Additionally, I always end up eating so much chips and salsa that I can’t even finish my meal!
But I don’t consider that a problem, because everything is so good that I could make a full meal out of anything- even their authentic corn chips and juicy salsa!
Their service is amazing, and everyone is always so friendly and patient (especially with all of our terrible Spanish pronunciation). Sometimes there’s a slight language barrier, but nothing that causes problems.
Long story short, Hectors is a good pick for anyone looking for some good authentic Mexican food in a friendly and laid back environment. I recommend bringing the whole family– maybe even extended! Family get togethers would be a lot less excruciating with a side of authentic corn chips! 😉
