We enjoyed a great lunch at Hector’s! Nice outdoor seating, nice lunch specials, and, of course, very tasty seasonal margarita flavors! We had the watermelon and pineapple and both were delicious. The service is always friendly and attentive. A favorite Tosa spot!

Hector’s was a staple for me when I lived in Milwaukee years ago. Stopped for lunch and had a taco salad. My husband had the Al Pastor tacos. Taco salad was so big I took half home for dinner. Everything was just as tasty as years ago. Prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly. The place is small but cozy. A great place still after all these years.

We ate outside on the last nice day in Milwaukee for a while and watched the sunset. The pitcher of margaritas was perfection. The stuffed jalapeno appetizer stole the show. The fish tacos were delicious and everyone loved the enchiladas.

The chips were warm and tasty, and their salsa is absolutely delicious. I had the chicken tostada, and my husband had the pork Verde enchiladas. I enjoyed my dish. My husband wanted more flavor in the sauce, but it was good. Margaritas are fabulous!!! Get there early. Parking in back of building. This place is tiny inside, and it gets very busy. The bar fills up quickly.

Great stop for some Mexican dishes. Not special inside, but the service was good, food was plentiful and tasty. Loved the salsa that came with chips when we sat down. I had carne asada tacos and they hit the spot with a Dos Equis. Check it out.

When we first walked in we were never acknowledged, sat at the bar for about 5 minutes as the bartender (Ella?) drank tequila straight from the bottle with her mouth. She was “too busy” to speak to us. She put down chips and asked us what to drink. They did have anything in cans or bottle, she stated so we went with water. Took her 20 minutes to give us food menus when we asked her for them when she got us the waters. Fast forward to finally getting the food. The food was lukewarm and dry, VERY CHEWY. There’s “secret sauce tastes like you added a chili taco seasoning packet to a bottle of ketchup, which was terrible. There’s rice, beans, and meat Tasted like it had been sitting in a warmer all day, mind you it was 8pm on a Saturday night kitchen didn’t close until 9:30pm, plenty of time for fresh food….. I would unfortunately do not recommend this place even though I wish I could considering on a Saturday night there was a total of 8 people there and the only one drunk was the bartender. I support local small businesses but not ones that can’t see bad employees.

I did not appreciate the Bartenders Sarcastic Attitude when I walked in the door, the dining room was empty, I was just trying to be friendly with a little small talk, I can be a bull in a China shop though, I probably could adjust my own attitude a bit. Our Server was friendly and fast, the chips and salsa were on the table right away, and I sure was grateful for that. Our food was pretty good and plentiful, my Steak Tacos were good and hot, most of the food was not really that hot, it came out of the kitchen fast though. Sixty dollars seemed a little steep for dinner, we had two appetizers, two entrees and one soda. Thank goodness we has a coupon!
