Disappointing guys. 3 takeaway tacos for nearly $30 including a small side serve of guacamole. Tasty but poor presentation. Great service but it’s finger food guys .. how about throwing in some napkins? Guy behind the counter was great.

Food was good but giving 3 stars because although they have Halal certificate but they also have pork on the menu.
So there’s no guarantee that there will be no contamination when it’s busy and there’s a pressure on kitchen. Chips are beer battered also.

Pretty disappointed. I drove 30-min from Melbourne CBD to Altona for the vegan paella with tofu. I was super excited based on the reviews. I got it takeaway and double checked with them that it was all vegan. I came back to the CBD after a 60-min drive back with traffic… when I opened it, shrimp + sausage…. I’m glad I checked before eating it. The restaurant said they’ll refund me. But that’s just super disappointing. They don’t do DoorDash / uber eats to CBD. Oh well. It is, what it is. Please be more mindful of this in the future.

Attended on special occasion to celebrate and food, service and atmosphere was amazing. Staff Loveleen was very helpful and great knowledge of the menu. Lots of vegetarian options and cocktails are amazing.

Hecho en Mexico at Altona Pier is a great place for a casual meal with friends or family. The drinks were excellent, full of flavour and made really well. The food was fresh, delicious and served quickly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. It is a lovely spot for good food, great drinks and a relaxed evening out.
