Food was good but service was not friendly. When saying “Thank you” after ordering and when receiving food the response was “Uh Huh” by one of the employees. You could tell she didn’t want to be there. I believe that employee did leave while we were there and was replaced by an employee with a much friendlier demeanor. I love their BBQ sauce!

Friday, November 28. We’re in the area visiting family. Stopped in at 10:00 AM planning to buy 4 to 5 pounds of pulled pork and BBQ sauce. They didn’t have any but would have some by 10:30. Sign said they were open until 6:00. Went to visit brother. Came back at 1:45; CLOSED. Tried calling multiple times but no answer. So frustrating. How much effort does it take to create an automatic phone message saying they were not open. l get the feeling they don’t want to stay in business.

I’m just genuinely confused I’d love to give more stars on the service, but do y’all not have many workers? Is it because you don’t hire anyone if so? It’s kinda crazy there’s only one person in store to handle drive thru. I know your crew is probably trying their best, but it’s hard to give good service when it’s all falling on one person. I feel sorry for the poor woman you can tell she’s stressed out.

We picked up a d of BBQ , buns the whole nine . The buns where hard the BBQ made my husband suck, and our dog. I didnt eat any. Ate one sandwich. Called the next morning to tell them where going to return it . They hung up on me while I was still talking. This once was a great place . Dont know what has happened. It is terrible now.

Editing my review from 5 stars to 1 because the food was amazing the first time I got BBQ chicken from there. It was simply delicious. However, this time I got two 1/2 rack rib plates which were either old ribs or just really overcooked ribs or both. Either way they were hard and dried out. And at $14/plate for 2 plates to be garbage, nah. The 2 oz cup of baked beans were delicious. My onion rings were burned so badly some of them had black on them. It was noticeable enough they should have thrown them out. I got cheese sticks as a side which was $1 more which would have been fine except you literally get 3 cheese sticks. The fries were somehow overcooked and soggy. The food should have never made it past the trashcan. I really loved this place despite the negative comments. My first experience was wonderful. Sweet and caring staff. To today which was a 180! Unprofessional and hateful personnel. Will NOT be going back at all. I get everything is expensive and has gone up, but I refuse to pay over $30 for food we can’t even eat. That’s crazy.

We went for lunch, google maps was in the wrong location and we stopped in the parking lot just before heatons seasoning llc and assumed the place was now closed. As we searched for another place for lunch we continued a little further when we stumbled into heatons. The ribs were great, the smoked chicken was tender and delicious. The potato salad was awesome. The coleslaw was a little salty but still good, the fried tomatoes were also good. The service was great and the owners were there and we talked to them they were polite. I did update google maps but it’s about an 1/8 mile north of where it currently is showing so if you don’t find it drive another 30 seconds and you’ll see it

People are nice, price was very fair, but BBQ was very very dry. Had to put it in a bowl and mix with a liberal dose of sauce before you could swallow it. They won’t give you any sauce when you buy their BBQ. You have to buy it separately. Kinda like buying a hamburger and paying extra for ketchup.

This is my hometown BBQ, and nothing else can compare. I’ve tried BBQ in both Carolinas, Tennessee, and Texas. They’re good, but nothing beats Heaton’s sauce and slow-smoked pork. I live in Florida now, and my mother knows this is a must-see whenever I come back to KY. She even brings me sauce when she comes to Florida.
