Came here on a whim, just looking for something quick to eat for me and my kids. We found this place and we are really happy that we did. My kids absolutely loved it. They no had French toast, bacon and a banana. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel with a chai latte. Everything was lovely. But what was most impressive is their customer service. They have fantastic service and I will definitely come here again.

The food is amazing and the staff is friendly. Timi took care of us. We had the veggie platter and a breakfast platter, both with tibs (beef). Very authentic and great place to eat. Can’t wait to come back again!

Yesterday My brother, Daughter and i got breakfast here. My brother and I both got the steak sandwich with fries and my daughter got a bagel with cream cheese, iced vanilla latte.

This is the real deal. I love you Ethiopian food and this one did not disappoint. The staff was super nice and friendly and they cooked the food with love! Please be patient because you want fresh hot food. It takes for a few minutes sometimes but it’s totally worth it.authentic Ethiopian and RN Washington DC national Mall area it’s only about 15 minute drive from the Capitol.

The Ethiopian breakfast and a hot black coffee was my go-to order for years. Wonderful food. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, though, it’s all delicious!!

The food here is delicious, I get the Ethiopian breakfast platter which is a great departure from my typical meat-egg-cheese bagel. It can take a while as this place has gotten pretty popular, and it’s not the cheapest. The ful is a cheaper option I think which I want to try.

Such a great spot! I’d recommend splitting one plate between two people, we had more than enough food. The breakfast plate was a perfect comfort meal and so flavorful! You can really tell there’s a lot of care put into the food. Thank you to the staff at Heat Da Spot for a great brunch, we’ll be back!

Heat Da Spot is a fantastic local brunch spot. It looks like they have many more options for lunch, which i will definitely be trying the next time I go. We had the Ethiopian style breakfast, honey cinnamon coffee, a smoothie, a breakfast sandwich, and the waffles.
Overall, we had great service and a great meal! The “secret sauce” is so refreshing. Injera was fluffy, spongy, and super flavorful. Samosa was so flaky and yummy, I really should’ve recorded the crunch. Finally, a sandwich that’s made with hash brown patties ? GENIUS.
Drinks are a little pricey but worth it.
Patio is pretty cute, but we had trouble fitting 4 chairs at a table because there’s too much furniture for the space. The patio is dog friendly, and they gave my pup some water and turkey bacon, which was SO thoughtful and nice.
