The restaurant looks new and very clean.

I have known the chef for many years. He is an expert on traditional Chinese Sichuan Cuisine. He had had his own small restaurant for many years in Rockville but had to sold it due to the rising cost. He prefers to be hired as a chef so that he is able to focus on cooking.

If you like spicy Chinese food, it is a must-go restaurant for sure. There is variety of non-spicy food available as well.

The Chinese Hamburger (not spicy), spicy beef (in soup), spicy fish (in soup), fish flavored eggplant, stir-fried cabbage, stir-fried lamb or beef, shredded pork and dried tofu, bite size fried chicken… are my favorites! I know my favorite list seems too long. But it is the truth.

I went there yesterday with a party of 15 so that I had an opportunity to taste a lot of food. And I am so glad to see some of my favorite dishes on the table.

We decided to give Sichuan Cuisine a try during our mandated stay-cation recently and, much to our surprise, we enjoyed the food very much. Steamed dumplings, spicy wontons, Mongolian lamb, beef chow-fun, Ma-po tofu, and hot & sour soup was on the menu.
Overall the flavors were good, the dumplings and wonton texture first-rate, and the meats were very tender. Our main criticism would be that the intensity of the flavors could have been kicked up a notch (imagine the difference between a single stroke of a red pencil and a dozen strokes). The Ma-po tofu, for example, was hardly the exquisite tastebud torture that we have come to expect from a Ma-la-style dish.
We are, of course, quite aware of the technical difficulties that most restaurants are facing right now and we are willing to give the benefit of the doubt for any culinary shortcoming. (Unless we are talking about egregious mess-ups and lazy cooking).
This operation will remain on our radar for another go during these trying times and afterwards, as well.

Come here for delicious food!
This place has been a delight to my family when we come here. My mother and I were able to share this dish on a Tuesday. Everything from the sticker decorated walls, the pillows on the seats, the restrooms and especially the managers were extremely incredible. Highly recommend!

My favorite chef is working here. Very yummy food. Accessible location. Will definitely be back. I’m informed the name is same as whatever was here before, however it’s all new ownership and cuisine as of a few months ago.

I ordered drunken noodles and it they gave me pad Thai. It even said drunken noodles on the receipt. These are completely different dishes, there’s no doubt about it. So when I called they insisted “that’s how the chef made it,” which was an absolute LIE. I ordered food from here so many times before and I would get the drunken noodles. They didn’t believe me and said that I needed to drive all the way back to fix the problem. The fact they were insistent that this was how the chef made it, made me really frustrated! No refund or anything. Unless you’ve never eaten noodles before you CANNOT CONFUSE PAD THAI FOR DRUNKEN NOODLES.

10/10 great tofu. My food was still hot when I got home and the tofu had great flavor and texture. Prices are pretty cheap too. Definitely going back while I’m in the area 🙂

The food was fine. The menu was standard cuisine that you’ll find in every town in the U.S. I make special note of this since I was specifically looking for a restaurant specializing in Sichuan Styles and this is not one that does.
The servers were very nice amd I have no complaints about the food, except that I didn’t need to drive for an hour to have the same menu I have least 6 of in my own town.
I’m guessing from pictures on Google that the owners changed hands in the somewhat recent past.
