Visited from Raleigh. Bad attitude from older lady waitress. The creamer in the squirt bottle on the table was spoiled. The food was bland and gave me a stomach ache shortly after I left. The place is old, run down and seriously lacking any kind of emotion and love. My stomach is still messed up Sunday evening after a Saturday breakfast. I went to Pam’s days before this and Pam’s is the supreme winner in Washington. I recommend everyone go to Pam’s, The Mulberry House or Blu for Brunch. Better places in Williamston, New Bern, Belhaven or Greenville than this shack. Highly don’t recommend

Perfect breakfast spot! Greeted with warm smiles and a cozy mom and pop feel. Love the decor with Mickey, Elvis, and Pepsi. The coffee was piping hot and love the different cups! The veggie omelette was filled with peppers and onions! But the biscuits were hands down the best. They tasted homemade and were fluffy and flaky (like a crescent roll).
Next time we are in town we have this spot saved as a favorite.

I love Heartland but today for breakfast I ordered a sausage and cheese omelette and it came out cold, I ordered grilled potatoes with onions and I got fried potatoes smashed. I was very disappointed because I usually get really good food.

Small place with excellent service and great food. They are only open Friday to Sunday but the whole menu is available all day.

Commenting back off of Candace Whitaker’s post, if you look under your sides category, it’s says pancake $2 which I added to MY MEAL, not my husband, he ordered two eggs with tenderloin. He DID NOT order the pancake, I did as a side item which again under your menu says $2. His meal should have been $10 mine $12 not $17 for his with $9 extra for a simple pancake. I would pay for what we ate, we were charged wrong or update your menu and get rid of the sides category since y’all aren’t following it. You as the owner are going to let this easy fix issue effect future sales and growing opportunity but fail to realize.

Don’t come here, you will be ripped off. Ordered a meal with a side of pancake for my meal. Menu said $2.00 under the side item for pancake. When I got to pay, they added it under my husband and wanted to charge $9.00 for a PANCAKE. I added to my meal, my husband did not order it and they wanted to argue saying all the food was ate. Yes, it was, however it was charged wrong. One waitress didnt understand and our waitress wanted to be rude and snippy about it. I would pay for our meal, yes we ate all the food, but was charged wrong. And they wanted to argue saying it was ate-yes but still charged wrong. $17 for a tenderloin and pancake meal-NEVER GOING BACK!!

Disappointed- Heartland has always been our go to breakfast place for several years and we know the recent move to it’s new location was not really what the owner wanted but now they are a product of their own success. What used to be great personalized service and a wonderful small town atmosphere and good food is now less than it was before. Recent visit found us seated for almost an hour with coffee and order given with no food on the table and no attention from the waitress for coffee refill or to let us know the status of our order. We finally left without eating, only to be told by the owner in response to our disappointment “Well you can see we are really busy,” not concerned at all that we were walking out. It appears she is trying to meet an increased service need with the same number of staff. So, sad to say we are not sure we will be back. Owners response to us could have been better and would have made the world of difference as to if we were to return. Hope they can improve their service and their treatment of their customers when they are voicing dissatisfaction for the sake of all who want to take in some great food.
