We’ve been ordering takeout from this place for over a year now. Always great taste and friendly service. Food is fresh and ample portions, too; typically plenty for two meals from one portion.
I’m not really a big fan of the vibe inside – it’s small and loud for me, but it’s a matter of taste, really.
Overall, the food is definitely worth the price and much better for healthy eating than any chain I tried before.

Top notch tastes of Israeli cooking. Went with friends who used to live in Israel and they said it is just like they were home. The flavors are amazing. The environment is beautiful and quiet. Great place to eat and have a good time.

We love the food here! You normally get your food relatively quickly after ordering. I recommend the baklava if you like sweets! It’s a pastry with honey and pistachios, it’s the best thing you’ll taste. They are a staple for Greece and Turkey, and I’ve been to both countries and at Heart of Jerusalem they taste just as authentic as they do there!
I would definitely recommend the Ultimate plate!

I absolutely love coming here! The food is not only delicious but also healthy, and the portions are generous. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. I recently had the chicken plate, and it was amazing – flavors were on point! Highly recommend!

TLDR (Too Long, Didn’t Read): Exceptional Middle Easter cuisine, Excellent Service, Cozy and Chill Atmosphere. Would recommend bringing the fam or some friends here.
I have both ordered through Uber Eats and shown up in-person. I would say your experience would be better in person, as the atmosphere was relaxing, almost like a cozy cafe in a way. It almost takes you away from the hustle and bustle around you near that area (there seems to be quite a bit of traffic, at least at the time and day I went.)
I got to try to sage black tea, and it was served in a cute little teacup. Whoever makes the tea keeps it well-balanced; most of the time with tea, you have to be concerned about it being too overpowering or not strong enough, but they got the perfect ratio there.
Next I had an appetizer: Manakeesh (see pic I attached). The pita was cooked to perfection, and the feta cheese, vegetable, and fruit (tomato) ingredients were fresh. It was a light enough dish that you could move on to the main course, and the way that the ingredients were distributed shared relatively the same flavor profile across all the pieces. The sauce or dip (I think it was tzatziki?) completemented the lightnwss of the dish well too. I would definitely share it with a group of friends or family.
The main course I chose was a kebab sampler. The lamb kufta and chicken were cooked to perfection, and you could tell that I was cut correctly (when cutting chicken, you have to pay attention to the grain to make sure it cooks correctly to create the texture we describe as tender). There was not too much fat on the kafta that would give it a rubbery texture, but rather what many would describe as tender. The rice is not overcooked or undercooked, retaining just the right softness. The falafel, Greek salad, tzatziki and hummus all also complement the dish well.

The food is delicious and comes in very big portions! The falafels are probably the best ones I’ve ever had! So crispy! The hummus is fresh and delicious. The place is very small and they get a lot of Door dash orders. Prices are very decent. We will definitely come back!

Best falafel I have ever had. The baba ghanoush was delicious as were the dolmas. The hummus was better than most. Plenty of parking. Quaint small place. I will be back.

Flavorful food, filling portions, friendly staff and atmosphere. The Ultimate plate over rice was delicious and a great way to cap off a day of hiking that made me quite hungry. I left full, satisfied, and looking forward to coming back again soon!

This was an amazing experience!! The place is beautifully decorated and clean. The server (Rene? I wish I wrote her name down!) was very nice and attentive. The food – oh my goodness!! Soooo delicious! The pita and hummus were perfect. The grape leaves I’ve been wanting to try for the longest time and was not disappointed at all! Overall a good experience and will definitely be back.

I’ve been to HOJ many times but not since I went gluten free. They actually have a bunch of safe options for us which is awesome! Can’t do the gyro meat if you’re sensitive, but dolmas, falafel, chicken, hummus/tzatziki all gluten free. The person running the front this afternoon was so kind & knowledgeable about the menu. Nowadays we need all the kindness we can find in the world so thank you .
I got a chicken plate and an order of dolmas. Super yummy & great portions!
