Does everything what you expect from a well-run bar. Satisfactory & attentive customer service that is quick to serve, tasty cocktail options plus food, & and an immersive atmosphere. This place is regularly full even on weekdays, but despite that it’s not too noisy and you can easily have a conversation. Bartenders display excellent customer service and do not take too long to fulfill your orders. Cocktail options range from excellent craftsmanship of staples to a unique in-house spins of regular cocktail recipes. Unfortunately, they do close fairly early on the non-weekend days compared to other bars. Despite that, it’s a great place to have a drink.

The food was on point and quite tasty. The drinks were well thought and presented nicely. My issue is with the service we received. We had a large party and half of us ordered drinks. First, one person ordered a bougie drink with a bubble of smoke… the waiter delivered it to the wrong person, popped the bubble and then said whoops and delivered it to the correct person. The draw for that drink was the presentation and the bubble pop and that was handed off to someone else. It would have been easy enough to make another bubble but that wasn’t even offered. The second issue is a huge one. One person ordered double Macallan. When asked which year he preferred, he said it didn’t matter. The wait staff took that as a signal to drive the bill up…. They chose to serve him top-tier, ultra premium “sherry oak” which was priced at $88.00 per. Over the night, a few of these were ordered with ZERO price transparency. The wait staff did not inform him it was nearly $100 per drink and continued to serve the high prices drinks! Since we had a large party, the gratuity was included in the cost of the bill. Their decision to serve such a high priced drink netted them another $70.00 added to the tip. Our $300.00 food and drink bill jumped to $642.00 not including tip. Those four drinks were actually more than our entire bill !

It was deceptive and unscrupulous. We paid the bill and left shaking our heads how wait staff could make such a decision for a customer.

It will definitely be the last time we chose Hearsay when we visit Houston.

Had a date night and came in for a late dinner. I had the Chicken Milanese and my husband had the Texas Cur Ribeye and Spinach Artichoke dip. All of it was really good. The chicken a such a great flavor and the ribeye was nicely cooked. They drinks are on the pricey side and you don’t get much. The place had a nice ambiance but because the tables are so close to one another I felt like I was in the middle of a few people’s conversations. The waiter was super nice.

Great dim lighting and low music playing to enjoy and still have a conversation. The food was pretty good. We had three appetizers and I had the steak dinner. We wanted the pizza but we were told that although it is a menu item they did not have it. The same for a beer my friend wanted.
The service.. our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of menu items but not very attentive. We had to wave her down a few times and even asked another server to have her come to our table.

I had such a great time at Hearsay! I tried the Pear of Aces cocktail and it was so sweet, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The cheesesteak egg rolls were absolutely delicious and a must try. The whole vibe of the place was classy yet relaxed, with a romantic atmosphere that made the evening even better. Service was attentive and friendly, which added to the experience.

We used valet parking just down the street (you do have to pay to park) so that’s my reason not a full 5. I also love that Hearsay stays open late, making it the perfect spot for date night or just winding down with friends. Everything from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere was spot on.

I enjoyed my visit to Hearsay on the Green! The atmosphere is warm and stylish with a cozy, vintage vibe — the chandelier lighting and brick interior give it a really charming “antique” feel. It’s a great spot for conversation or a relaxed evening out. They staff took a long time to attend us but the service was good. The food was tasty and nicely presented.

Our experience was more than amazing. Juan the waiter was more than amazing. His patience and attention to detail was incredible. We had 3 little girls who wanted Shirley temples and he went above and beyond on getting their drinks

Thank you Juan for making our dining experience unforgettable

Went to this restaurant with the party of four for Sunday brunch. Two of the people were out of town guests. Waters were brought for the entire table. The menu is quite extensive, with a good selection of vegetarian options. I ordered the salmon omelette with a side of potato hash. All four orders were delivered together in a reasonable amount of time. However, my immediate impression was that my omelette and my potatoes were both luke warm, at best. Also, some of the diced potatoes were larger and a bit undercooked/too firm. I asked my daughter whether her omelette was warm and she said not really. The waiter came around one more time to see if we wanted to order dessert, which we did not. Other than that, nobody came to check how everything was or to refill our waters. My experience was neither good nor bad. I probably wouldn’t go again.

Third time here on a business trip the food is delicious. I especially recommend the Ahi tuna tacos. The flavor is amazing Services Great it’s is a little bit loud but when you’re in a business trip, that is OK.

After eating here multiple times this week while staying in the Embassy Suites, the hostess staff do not smile, are not welcoming, out of 3 wait staff, only 1 asked if we needed a refill or needed anything. My wedge salad was mostly the bitter yellow core, mashed potatoes were dry on another occasion, my steak was over cooked on another… Neither I nor more business partner were ever asked during each experience if we needed anything. Our waitress this evening walked past us at least 5 times before we tracked her down to ask for a refill. The manager we asked for a refill was lighting candles versus refilling our drinks and she had been standing beside the bar before that not managing her staff or her guests. It could be such a beautiful place if it was being ran with care.
