A-Hole In The Wall
A Hole in the Wall HOFer. Hazuki Kitchen has been quietly throwing down some of the most consistently good food in the entire city for a decade plus. I am guilty of overlooking them at times and forgetting how good it is. This is my reminder to not let that happen anymore.
One of the better sushi spots locally. There are other places that have similar quality but Hazuki has larger portions of seafood in their nigiri and sashimi. Fried rice is solid, unagi don and teriyaki salmon are very good.
Doesn’t look like much, I know, but they got it where it counts. Don’t sleep.

We get takeout often here, and the food is always perfect. Nice having a local Japanese place that’s pretty authentic and run by a nice guy. Great beef, chicken and pork options like yakisoba and katsu, not just seafood. Priced decently as well. Wholeheartedly recommend.

The udon noodles are soo good. They were so chewy and flavorful! A little heavy on the black pepper I will say. Despite this I still enjoyed it so much. The gyoza were very delicious as well, and just as good leftover… It is apparent to me that Hazuki actually cares about the food they make. This place is refreshing to say the least. Never change!!!!

I always go here for my sushi fix. Fresh and delicious..m but this winter weather I went for a Katsu bowl and man I was not disappointed! Crispy outside, juicy chicken inside, and the fried rice? Ugh so flavorful! Wishing I had gone with the veggies to go with it though I feel I’m missing out!

I moved to a different city and it’s been a year and every day i think about this place. food was so beyond good. had me eating things i thought I didn’t like, the flavor was there!
It’s small and looks like it needs a bit of organizing, but staff were attentive. They had kids there studying and such, which made it more of a comfortable setting to chill and relax.
Usually never busy when I went there, definitely New Bedfords best hidden gem!

NOBODY does it like Hazuki does it. Do you see those thick and Lucious Salmon nigiri? They have the most generous salmon portions in the game and it’s not even close. We order take out from them nearly every Friday night. Their rolls are delicious, I love the pink lady and chorishi’s fire. We typically get 3-4 orders of salmon nigiri or a Sake Don.
From the outside, the place is unassuming- but don’t let that fool you. Their sushi is top notch compared to the other local options (and believe me we’ve had them all many times). They have the perfect ratio of rice to delicious salmon.
There is sometimes a little bit of a wait on busy nights like Friday when they get backed up(they’re worth the wait), but they’ll call you when your food is ready and it’s always fresh.
We also trust their food safety standards. We’ve been late ourselves a few times and on these occasions they grab our sushi from the fridge. Most places I’ve been to just leave it on the counter, but these guys go the extra mile so you don’t get food poisoning which we appreciated.

We love Hazuki, we order from them several times a month and are never less than delighted. My husband and I usually get a couple of sushi/maki combos and split the order so we get a good variety. The fish is always so fresh and the prices are more than reasonable. We often toss in a California roll for our toddler and make it a family sushi night. It sometimes takes a bit for the phone to be answered when we make an order and we have been unsuccessful at getting someone to take our order for lunch in the past. But, overall this place is a gem and we have HINTED for the best sushi around. This is it!

I had been craving sushi for a while and decided to try something new instead of my usual spots. I searched for sushi nearby and came across this place, which showed it was open. When I arrived, I wasn’t sure if it was open because the lot looked abandoned and there was a police officer sitting nearby. I asked if he knew if the place was open, but he wasn’t sure. I pulled up closer and saw the small “open” sign, so I decided to give it a try.
When I walked in, I wasn’t sure what to expect but looks can be deceiving. I ordered the Spider Roll, miso soup, and vegetable fried rice. Let me tell you, this was hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had. The fried rice was made fresh right in front of me and it was absolutely delicious. The miso soup was fantastic too.
This place is takeout only and you might drive by thinking it’s closed but trust me, it’s open and you don’t know what you’re missing. The owner is super sweet and the food is incredible. This hidden gem is a must try!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
