We had an outstanding dinner at Hazie’s which was a special treat for my mother’s 95th birthday. The ski area staff could not have been more helpful getting her up to the gondola and then into Hazie’s. They truly knocked the ball out of the ballpark.
Our server, Ally, was terrific and truly knew and understood the entire menu.
The pre-fixe dinner was expertly prepared and presented. The starters excellent (crispy pork belly and mushroom raviolo), delicious salads and then the entrees (duck confit, elk tenderloin) – followed by superb desserts. Ally did a great job portioning out the timing between courses.

The ride up the gondola at sunset was beautiful, then bubbles by the fireplace before an excellent meal. All the courses were enjoyed and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding and we enjoyed the entire evening watching the lights of Steamboat glow from the valley.

Please come here to experience the well -crafted and finely executed cuisine that they offer. The turkey was moist and seated on a lovely bed of jam. The genial chef was even out ensuring everything was meeting expectations. Hazie’s, back open since the pandemic began, harbors the nicest people and a relaxed vibe. Even the outdated decor has an elegant way of bringing you back in time to the good old days. Last but not least , enjoy a simple but excellent Bloody Mary by Lindsay.

We were lucky enough to be able to come a week after they reopened post-Covid. Shane welcomed us with the best drinks and snacks! And the view was the best on the mountain! We had the best time! Thank you SO MUCH for such exceptional care!

Limited menu, but surprisingly fancy. Right at the top of the gondola and Thunderhead Express. The mac and cheese was very unorthodox but still quite good. Nice sit-down restaurant to take a break from skiing.

What a great treat to have Hazie’s on top of the mountain. Steve from Lancaster, PA was our server both times we had lunch here. Steve was above and beyond of what you would expect from a world class server. The food is phenomenal and full of great flavor. It’s a great spot to grab a great lunch. Highly recommended.

Truly enjoyed our experience at Hazie’s after an early Sunday out on the mountain. Food was delicious, drinks were well made and quick to arrive, and the view is not to be missed. Our server, Aleeza, was very attentive and friendly with a great sense of humor. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Steamboat!

From the moment we walked in we could tell we were being judged. Our server was nice but all other staff and customers were rude and not welcoming. Family of 5 and we were sat away from everyone else upstairs by ourselves. The food was an absolute joke. It seems like Hazies is trying to be fine dining but missing the mark on quality. Insanely overpriced for below average quality food. $200 tab and we left hungry. Chalked this one up to “trying it for the experience” but never again.
