Our evening at this cozy spot had its ups and downs, but we left feeling pretty upbeat about the place.

Trendy, friendly, and clean. We enjoyed our time at Hazelwood! Made a reservation for brunch, no issues, place was very busy on a Saturday morning.

Great food and service. The outdoor patio was nice, and there was a good selection of shady and sunny spots to suit your preference. Fried chicken, biscuits & gravy was great; so was the blackberry brie burger. Oh, and you MUST get the brie cheese curds. Easily in the top three we’ve tried…and we’ve tried our fair share of cheese curds

Hazlewood’s food was great, but the service was extremely lousy for the price and quality of the food. My friend and I sat for a solid 10 min in the back corner of the restaurant (down the ramp on the right from front entrance) until we were greeted, but not by our server. But, by a bartender who had been in the back stocking wine bottles into a milk crate. She came up to us and asked if we were greeted, and we replied “no”. Another 5 min goes by and the bartender brings us water and says our server will be with us shortly. And again another few min goes by, and our server finally arrives. We order 2 Hazlewood Lemonades, and now wait another 10 min for our drinks. Our server arrives with the drinks and said they didn’t have enough ingredients to make the drinks… (confused as there restaurant had opened many hours ago- and it was slow enough to prepare for night shift). The server then wanted to give us more time to order- which we declined as we had waited enough to even be paid attention to. I ordered the chicken pot pie & my friend ordered a chopped salad. We barely tipped under 20%; as we are both servers and understand things happened. The visit was just very off- as all the other tables were greeted immediately. Was it because we were in our early 20’s? Seemed like the stereotype of being “cheap”? To wait that long in a restaurant with said “higher” standards is unacceptable, especially when the restaurant was fairly empty for a Thursday. The experience overall was just a big “…what?”

After the most relaxing morning spa treatments, we were looking forward to a nice lunch and Hazelwood Tonka Bay did not disappoint.

Okay, I’m a little delayed on my review for Hazelwood and I apologize for that. It really is a very lovely place to dine. I was lucky enough to be taken here for lunch for watching over my youngest nephew. Fortunately, my family are a bunch of foodies, including my adult children.

For many years they had the best “home made” meatloaf but it was completely different on our last visit. The Chester’s Turkey Avocado Melt was very good while the Margherita Pizza was somewhat tasteless and could have had more basil. Service was great. Very busy most dinner hours so go a little earlier or later. The inside seating is cozy and the outside patio seating was spacious and had just enough shade. Nice selection of beer, wine, Bourbon and Scotch.

Could not be more impressed. We have been here before but since reopening it is even better! We really loved the drinks and came in for valentines day dinner. Jess – our waitress – KILLED it tonight. Was very very attentive did an excellent job not hovering but being around when we needed her. The redesign of the restaurant was noticeable and very nice. Food well prepared, we had a Filet Oscar and the two lobster tails… both very well prepared. We can’t wait to go back! This place seems like a breath of fresh air after the remodel and the breakfast menu is calling our names – especially that monkey bread! The free Popover service was a great touch too for dinner by the way!

Incredible dining experience. The food was absolutely incredible, drinks were great, and the atmosphere was wonderful. It was a great location to meet for dinner and drinks, and catch up with family. We ordered the prime rib, New York strip, and scallops for our entrees; these were all fantastic. The dessert was completely worth the time to order, rich chocolate cake and banana crème pie. I’m excited to return again.
