Went in on a Wednesday for dinner at 4pm and order the brisket and wings , my wife got the pulled pork dinner, her mac and cheese looks like it had been sitting in that bowl all day It had a dried different color crust to the top of the cheese look in the photo closely and you can see it. The brisket was so dry , what a shame I had had the brisket from the other location and it was probably the best I’ve ever had a year prior. I’m not sure what happened or if it’s just a location change.. The dry rubber wings were exceptionally good I would not call them jumbo as the menu says but they were just normal small chicken wings. But they were exceptionally good and I should have just ordered the 10 piece wings I would have been completely satisfied.. our server was very nice took good care of us. But you guys should be ashamed to serve brisket like that. The dessert was tasty but the pudding filling had a dark color to it we were little scared to try it to be honest. Not happy and don’t know that we’ll be back unfortunately

My wife and I had lunch at this restaurant upon arriving in Franklin North Carolina after a 4 hour or so drive the interior decors rustic western lots of John Wayne’s type things the pool pork that I had was delicious right amount of smoke, the burnt end baked beans Smokey and savory and the perfect accompaniment that is dish. I love the rustic interior decor. And especially nice touch was the fallen soldier table with a display of challenge coins in a shadow box very patriotic and good to see a business honor fallen servicemen in this way. There were other patriotic touches to the decor also such as an American flag on one of the walls in the dining room.

Excellent BBQ. We both had pulled pork sandwiches which were large and packed with meat. The sauces were fantastic. My favorite was the red sweet sauce and red spicy sauce. I had fries and they were great. Wife had a side of collard greens and she loved them. I highly recommend Haywood’s Smokehouse.

Food we delicious, tried the brisket and it was fall apart tender and juicy. Ours had a nice bark and very good flavor with no sauce, but hey kick it up a notch with some hot sweet sauce or strawberry chipotle BBQ sauce. 1lb of brisket and some fries and you will have a great filling meal.
But we also tried the bq pulled pork sandwich on a bun but you can try it on toast, with coleslaw. Them to with that strawberry chipotle and enjoy.
Good portions for the prices. All the sides looked delicious.
The place felt more like a restraint than a BBQ place but their other food looked and smelled wonderful. The cowboy burger looked like a good option with ground brisket and some cheese.

My son and I ate there on Tuesday, February 3, right after the weekend snowstorm, so maybe that’s why hardly anybody was dining at that time. We loved our beef brisket and ribs, collard greens and green beans. The brisket was very flavorful without any sauce. The collard greens and green beans were very tasty with lots of pulled pork added. Atmosphere was cozy and quaint, just like a smokehouse restaurant should be! Very good service! Very nice, friendly people work there.

Went here for the first time while I was on vacation. Great service, friendly staff, very attentive. Even when it was busy, we were never in want of refills, and she checked on us regularly. The food was good; however, my personal preference is to have more smoke on the pork and brisket.

Some of the best bbq I’ve ever had. We were visiting from out of town, tried it one night, it was so good we ended up coming back the following night. Our server was Candice both nights, she was great and recommended some items on the menu that we may not have ordered without her advice but ended up being amazing. The baby back ribs and wings were some of the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. I was speechless! Even the collars greens were next level. We will absolutely make it a point to come back next time we’re in town. Even though we were visiting Candice made us feel like regulars. Highly recommended!

Best pulled pork I’ve ever had, and I’ve lived in WNC all my life. The collars are phenomenal too. Their sauces are awesome too the SOB is my favorite, it’s a little sweet and a good bit of heat. Service was good, and the atmosphere is to be expected from a BBQ joint this far out, but the food is amazing. It’s not cheap, but its far from overpriced. I have driven 45 minutes for a pulled pork sandwich from Haywood Smokehouse before.
