We visited Hay’s Place on Veterans Day, which is always a busy time around Pebble Beach — good thing we made reservations online (super easy process).

Our server Marina was fantastic — very attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. We sat outside on the patio with a fire pit, overlooking the busy Hay Golf Course, which made for a fun and lively atmosphere.

The kids’ menu and setting were perfect for families. Our son had the kids cheeseburger with chips and salsa — total banger, he loved it.

The menu says Mexican inspired, but the flavors leaned more toward authentic Mexican gourmet — at least the dishes we tried. We ordered the Enchiladas del Mar and Enchiladas de Mole, both excellent. My wife is a bit of a mole connoisseur, and she said it was one of the best she’s had.

We also had a couple of cocktails — the Arnie’s Cadillac Margarita and the Aztec Old-Fashioned — both perfectly made and delicious.

From the service and food to the ambience, setting, and views, everything was spot on. The restaurant has a more relaxed, casual vibe compared to other spots at the Pebble Beach Resort, making it a great place for families or anyone looking to unwind, talk, and enjoy excellent food in a beautiful setting.

Highly recommend!

Im not one to write reviews but this restaurant deserves one. My Husband and I came down from the Sacramento area for a getaway and chose this restaurant so we could keep our dog out the house for the evening. The staff was excellent! Very dog friendly seating out on the patio and service was very sweet from everyone but especially our waiter Dustin. A water bowl was brought out for the dog which was sweet.
The Quesabirria was to die for and Dustin even comped our dessert under no special occasion mentioned. The atmosphere of the place and the kindness from all employees would have me coming back weekly if I lived near monterey!

Jesus our server, was great, he was attentive to our needs, efficient and friendly.

I had the Quesobirria, they were well seasoned, tenders short ribs meat in a crispy taco. The portion were generous.

What a great addition to Pebble Beach! The menu is creative and full of flavor. The staff is attentive and will help you to make a selection. If you like extra spice try the habanero sauce! We shared the delicious Elote roasted corn and the Birra (Short Rib) tacos. WOW! Plus, you are sitting next to the golf course with a view of the bay in the distance. It does not get any better than this!

Do NOT get the Enchilada Trio. Just had lunch here and it’s burnt to a crisp on the fajita plate. They charge 40 dollars for this dish that has barely any seafood in it, the food came late too. Would never recommend the restaurant to anyone (servers are great!). Mango Habanero ribs and Mushroom Quesadillas I’d recommend if you end up eating there if no other restaurants are open.

Highly recommend making a reservation, they get pretty busy. We really enjoyed the Tin Can Nachos, and had a few cocktails. I had the toasted tini, it was a creamy espresso martini with marshmallows and it was soo good! Food wise, I ordered the Catch of the Day tacos which was Rock Cod and it was pretty tasty. The staff were all nice, just again slightly busy. Overall enjoyed !!

Super delicious food! Highly recommend the tin can nachos! Beware, it is definitely a large portion and can settle as a meal for two! Loaded to the very last chip!

The view is amazing as it overlooks the short course and you stare right out into the ocean.

Service was excellent! The pineapple mint smoothie is also delectable!!

Hay’s Place offers an exceptional dining experience with its stunning view, featuring both a lush golf green field and the expansive Pacific Ocean. The service is impressively friendly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The food is nothing short of excellent, with generous portions that leave you more than satisfied. The only slight downside is the limited wine selection, which could use a bit more variety. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall delightful experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable meal with a view.

Ok Mexican fusion. Service is not so great having to wave our hands multiple times from water refill to range sauce!
