First visit with some local friends. David, our server (and he bartends) was excellent. Asked for advice on the menu for a lunchtime visit. Really appreciated his candor and recommendations. Did you know the breakfast menu is just not for breakfast time!?! Great for one in our party. My buddy had the French dip sammy with sweet potato fries. And the beer on tap was a perfect match. Not a crumb left on his “tray.” His wife devoured the center area of her pancakes. Oh, and David said the pancakes were big….AND, they were huge! She’s on a special diet, and the breakfast option was perfect…even at about 2 in the afternoon. No judging! My wife had the Arizona burger & fries. I did the build your own burger option. The burgers were excellent…and big and thick. The regular fries with the burgers were a bit disappointing. Ok, just not up to par. Please do something with the fries…seasoning, make ’em crispy on the outside & fleshy on the inside, do something that makes them go with that delicious burger. Maybe we should have substituted for sweet tater fries, or went the onion ring route. Everything was excellent but the fries. Thank you David!

Don’t waste your money here if you’re going for food. I thought this would be a cool spot to have breakfast with a friend, but both of our meals were awful.

The waitress wasn’t kind at all and had a rude attitude from the start (mean girl attitude) black hair with I think blue color dye. The potatoes were clearly frozen, just deep-fried, and the first batch we got was cold, like they had been sitting out. The haystack onions on my dish were the cheap bagged ones you buy at the store for green bean casserole not freshly made and they were cold too, just tossed on top right before serving.

The meat in my skillet (I think it was supposed to be brisket) was cubed, cheap, and honestly gross. My friend ordered biscuits and gravy. Once again, the potatoes were cold. The gravy was the only decent part. She said the biscuit was extremely dry and had no flavor at all.

Overall, bad food, poor quality ingredients, and unfriendly service. Definitely not worth it.

This place has always been a family staple for us. The new location is great! Tried their cinnamon roll for the first time and it was seriously the best one I’ve ever had. Their beef brisket skillet is incredible as well for breakfast.

I had a wonderful experience at Haymaker. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but what really made my visit stand out was the service. Charisma, my server, was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed without ever feeling rushed. She went above and beyond to make my time here enjoyable.

A big shout out to Charisma for making my visit such a positive one. I will definitely be back.

Nice modern dining room. They do need to figure out a way to control the relentless afternoon/evening sun (the management contacted me indicating this issue has been resolved since my visit). The service is pretty decent.

We ordered biscuit, gravy and eggs 4/5 and country fried steaks 4.5/5.

Good beer, wine, and cocktail options.

Holy smokes, this place is amazing!! Huge servings, breakfast all day, pleasant staff, and a reasonable cost for the whole experience. I was recommended to check this them out by a client of mine, so we brought the whole team (8 people). We sat on the patio, each of us got something different, and all ended up eating off each other’s plates. I got the haymaker Benedict… talk about a feast!! I’ll definitely be back here.

Read the other reviews and don’t waste your money here. I ordered two Cowboy Platters online at 7:20 AM with a pickup time of 7:35. I arrived at 7:40 and the food still wasn’t ready. The front server said it would be a couple more minutes, which turned into another 7 to 8 minute wait, and the attitude was noticeably rude. This kind of delay makes no sense when there were only two or three tables seated. We didn’t even get any sides of ketchup for the potatoes, and the “fresh local fruit” isn’t described when you place the order. It ended up being a tiny container of rock-hard, unripe cantaloupe and honeydew, which is absolutely not worth $4. When I got home, only five minutes away, everything was ice cold. The portions were embarrassingly small for the price, especially paying $46 for two plates, and the food tasted completely unseasoned. This place is seriously overhyped. There are plenty of better breakfast spots that actually deliver quality food and service for the money.

We had a late breakfast for three of us. Everything was great and the service was fast. Many of the items are variations on popular dishes. For example, I had a combination huevos ranchero / eggs benedict. We also had a flight of mimosas. Peach, prickly pear, peach and mango. All different t and all good.

New review of new location. (Aug. 2025): New location and the food quality is back to where it was before! Thank goodness! We got quite a bit of food so we could try several things. Of course had to get a bloody Mary and espresso martini. The bloody Mary was delicious. For the espresso martini they didn’t have the espresso and used a cold brew, I do not recommend. The cold brew is such a different taste and I was not a fan. The French toast was on point, the bread was super flavorful and soft. The cinnamon roll was ok, a little dry, more of a biscuit texture and the cream cheese frosting they put on top tasted like plastic. The omelet was good, super loaded with goodies and I would get it again. The biscuit was delicious and I highly recommend it. The new decor is very Americana, it is nice. I will miss the moody country vibe the other location had. Original photos are still included and start with the bacon in the bloody Mary.

Orginal review (2024): I have been to haymaker at least a dozen times for breakfast. The last few visits the quality has declined dramatically. This last time was the worst. The food was cold, bland and left a lot to be desired. The bloody Mary was good but the bacon was off putting and didn’t eat it. If you like a hearty biscuit these are for you; they are very dense and savory. The omelet was fine but bland. The potatoes were ice cold, over cooked and flavorless. My husband said the gravy was decent but not very warm. The service was really good though, very friendly server and attentive. Likely won’t be back for breakfast anytime soon. The menus need to be updated!
