Solid hometown favorite here, but like every other establishment recently, prices have gone way up. We used to be able to eat breakfast for less than $20 for two people; not anymore. 2 Saturday steak specials with two slices of pie is over $40 now. If your breakfast potatoes are diced, your food will be just okay. If they are round and potato chip-thin, the food is going to be delicious. The server with the long, blonde hair always has an attitude, but the others are pleasant.

We Both Had Baby Liver w/Grilled Onions and Gravy. Dan had pickled beets, and mashed taters for his sides. I had garden salad, mashed taters and gravy. Everything was delicious. The restaurant was calm and peaceful with Christmas decorations up. It is a very nice Family Restaurant. We will be eating there at least once a week. Prices were very affordable.

Good simple fairly traditional country dinner. Never had a bad meal here in 30 years. I don’t go often, maybe a couple times a year or less but I can always count on pretty good reasonable meals.

Well I got one of the Sunday specials turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes with turkey gravy, and a side vegetable, green beans.
The turkey was hard and dry even with the gravy. I’m not sure but I think the mashed potatoes might have been instant like I said I’m not sure about that. And the green beans were ok. Not one of the better meals I’ve had here what the price was good $10. I can say my dogs enjoyed it quite a bit when I got the leftovers home. That’s why they used to call it a doggy bag.
There was a dinner the top was soft in the bottom was hard as a rock.

This is the type of place your Nan with no teeth or taste buds goes to chat with her knitting circle and smoke pall malls.
It’s dark, it’s dingy, the waitress and kitchen were loudly yelling the entire time. Not one smile in the building.
The menu was sticky, and my cup looked like it was chewed on by a dog.
It’s the esthetic, as the kids would say.
I ordered a smothered beef sandwich and mash. The sandwich was two slices of great value white bread, a slice of year old roast beef lunch meat covered in canned gravy. The mash was actually decently made boxed taters. I do enjoy a boxed tater.
I’ll give 3-stars for the experience.

Very family friendly diner serving delicious food. I got the liver and onions with a baked potato and green beans. The liver was very good there and the service was on top of everything and friendly. It is seat yourself and the tea was very good as well.

The waitress was friendly and kind. The food is pretty average, and the sweet tea could use a bit more sugar. They did a recent update to the layout of the restaurant. The bathrooms aren’t as scary but everything else seems the same. The place stays packed. I guess they are doing something tight.
