Burger was one of the cleanest tastiest burgers I’ve had ever. Like a better in-n-out version. Buns were soft and good. Burger wasn’t sloppy overwhelmed with sauce, everything was just perfect! 10/10 for the burger and service. The Adams location is small and parking tough if busy but still a cool spot. Prices on the heavier side for a double cheeseburger ($14ish) not including fries but worth a try if you haven’t tried it before. If the burger was bigger I’d go back frequently but $14 for a double kinda puts me at once in a while visit to Hayes.

We recently stopped by and ordered a triple burger + double cheeseburger with fries and two sodas, and the total came to over $50+ which ain’t cheap.

But hey, everything is kinda expensive these days due to inflation and other economic factors, so that’s not a huge issue per se.

Our issue was both the fries and the burgers were way too salty, which made it hard to fully enjoy the meal.

The quality of the ingredients seemed decent, and the service was friendly, but considering the price point, I expected a better balance in flavor and overall value.

It’s not a bad spot, but for that kind of money, there are other places I’d consider first.

Nice little new burger place in the heart is of Normal Heights off Adams Ave. An easy walk if you live in the neighborhood.

This is the 2nd location for Hayes and they fit right in.

Had the Double Cheeseburger without onions and it was very tasty.

They also make their own spicy ketchup which paired well with my cheeseburger.

Prices aren’t cheap though as this Double Cheese was $14.80 for just the burger.

Would try again, but high prices will make it hard to visit too often.

You either need to provide bigger portions or cut the pricing.

How about a discount for locals or a lunch special?

A somehow cleaner version of the National burger chain brand synonymous with Southern California.

I got the Hayes Burger and it was fine. Clean and simple. Cooked well and the ingredients were fresh. Also a side of their dressed up fries. It was also fine. The pickle (relish) used was a little more than I would want but it is their twist on things.

The star of the meal was the spicy ketchup. The staff told me they were considering bottling it for individual sale. I will 100% buy it when available.

Over priced in& out went to support local business but $70 for three double cheeseburgers and three Jimmy fries is ridiculous the Jimmy Fry’s are basically animal style fries. The atmosphere is nice but the price along does not make any sense whatsoever especially from the portions that they gave you.

It’s really good, the the quality of the food is amazing. It took a second for the food to get to us, but it was worth it. The double cheeseburger is amazing. The fries are perfect. It’s a little pricey but well worth it. Would recommend.

Nice mellow place with great smash burger selections. Fries are hot and crisp – burger definitely better than In-N-Out. Try it with jalapeño ketchup. Keep it up!

This place continuously makes amazing food each and every time I have come. This experience in particular had amazing customer service from being greeted the moment we entered to being checked on even after we received our food! Can’t recommend this place enough for a good burger and fries!

Was very excited to see what all the hype was about Hayes and to have a new burger joint on Adams Ave.

50min wait for what essentially is an overpriced in-n-out burger. I can almost overlook the wait since I guess it was their first day, but damn near 40 bucks for two burgers and a large fries?

The burgers again are decent, but nothing to write home about. The “large” fries barely filled the basket, I wonder what the small looks like. They were cold to boot as well. I’m just gonna say it, when you know you got guests waiting what I hope is an abnormally long amount of time, being stingy on fries is certainly a choice.

So yeah. Even if the fries were hot, crispy and generous, and even if there was zero wait, at the end of the day the burger is good but not good enough to justify 15 bucks in my opinion. Best of luck to y’all, but it ain’t what I’m looking for, not at that price.
