Despite the cashier’s pleasant demeanor, the fish regrettably lacked flavor, taste, and seasoning. The potato salad also seemed undercooked and was not particularly enjoyable. This was quite different from previous years, when the experience was much more satisfying. Moreover, the interior could benefit from some renovations.

This was their food truck it was at chesterfields slip and slide event a month ago. For the portion it was very pricy…fish was over cooked and tasted like the grease needed changing and I got crumb fries as I call them…the end of the bag. For the price I paid and the portion I def won’t try again. They didn’t have bags to cover food but that wasn’t even the deal breaker.

Hawk’s BBQ in Richmond is a must try. Funny thing is I haven’t even tried the barbecue yet. So far, I’ve had their cheese steak, fish, and chicken and they were all delicious. Now, I am very much looking forward to trying the barbecue. Hats off to Hawks BBQ!

The whole experience was a no for me and if I could, there would be no stars from me. I ordered the 2 pc lunch special. The fish was pretty, but absolutely tasteless. I was given 3 pounds of fries. Guess that was to distract me from the tasteless fish. And how can buttered toast be messed up? The collard greens only had a little heat (spice), but no other seasonings including salt. The best thing of food was the Pepsi, but that was served in what could be compared to a baby’s sippy cup because of the size. The lady working at the counter was a bit short toned with the customers. The store had a dirty floors, chairs, and windows. They’d only been open an hour and a half. They got $14 outta me. This was my first and LAST visit.

I’ve been going to Hawks for their fried fish for almost 30 years now. The only thing that has changed is their location. The food is prepared upon ordering. No need to worry about food sitting around under a heat lamp. It’s all freshly made right there. They also sell barbecue which I haven’t had from them.
There’s a limited amount of seating inside so you may want to order head by calling it in or coming on to place your order to go.
The staff are warm and welcoming. Should you want to have them prepare food for a graduation party or other event contact them on advance for their availability. I want to a party in which the food was from them and it was well done and everyone enjoyed.
You can also get the food delivered by Door Dash.

That was some of nastiest fish I have ever got there on Brook and Parham Road. It was like a large can of black pepper was put in the seasoning. Then tasted like old cooking oil. I got the Lake Trout and that my last time going there.
