I just happened to hear of this establishment on Facebook. So my Son and I live a mere 2 hours away and with such a catchy name we had to go check them out. And the trip did not disappoint. We ordered our food and the Lady taking our order was awesome as well as very professional. They got our food out to us quick and the order was correct ( a big plus nowadays).we tried the pulled Pork , Ribs,pulled Chicken and the Brisket all of which were very good. They had a variety of sauces and the outdoor seating area had the biker vibe. I thought the whole atmosphere was awesome. The sides were good and the drinks were cold . The service was fast and friendly. I have zero complaints. I do give a solid 5 stars and I highly recommend them.

I have driven by this place a few times and today I finally stopped in and honestly, I was a little disappointed. I read the reviews which most of them are four months ago or longer, And most of them are great reviews so of course I stopped. I got the pulled pork sandwich with barbecue sauce, onion and pickle and also got a plain brisket sandwich. The pulled pork didn’t taste like it was smoked and there was barely any barbecue sauce on it plenty of onion and two pickle chips. The brisket was decent a little on the dry side, all in all not the greatest, but I’m always willing to give places a second chance. But I think the next time I’m gonna try the ribs.

I’ve lived close to this place for over 10 years. Today I decided to try their food. I ordered the sampler platter to give me a good variety to try. The food was cooked to perfection… And that’s before dipping it in their 2 sauce. Regular and hot. The portion sizes were large enough for this big guy to have a meal later. I recommend moving the 2 sauces together, it’s really not that hot for people that like heat but the taste is mouth watering. They will definitely have me as a return customer for now on.

OK, so made the trip to Hawg’s Ass Sammiches to photograph their menu (for online orders) and although challenging (and cold) it was a successful and delicious shoot. The cold only factored in since they have no inside dining and it was a bit breezy yesterday on their patio.
They have absolutely great ribs, ribeye steaks and brisket, (actually everything) so perfectly prepared it delights before the first bite. Everything was awesome but, honestly, they also had a novel item, Pork Candy. Tips with a sweet and spicy BBQ sauce cooked down to a candied glaze. They were irresistible.
Believe me if you are headed to Rough River a stop in Harned, KY is more than justified just to satisfy your craving for GREAT BBQ!!! ❤

A to go bbg place. The food was delicious with so much flavor, I was impressed. The 1/2 rip plate was tasty with meat falling off the bone and the ribeye sandwich so tender. The potatoe salad had a hint off citrus. Really looking forward to trying other options here. I would have taken a picture of the ribs but its already gone. didn’t notice any indoor seating, it was to cold to eat outside on those benches.

Our food was so disappointing. I have wanted to try this out for years. I had the fish sandwich plate with potato salad and baked beans. It was a Gordon’s fish filet at best the baked beans out of can. My husband had 1/2 pound cheese burger which was sliced right off the chub roll, hard to chew. Positive was the tomato that was garden fresh. Terrible burger. Potato salad very strong of celery salt. I love celery salt but moderation. I feel bad but it was bad, waste of money not even worth of to go box worthy. I ate half and threw it in the garbage can located behind the table.

First time eating there and it was awesome. The pulled pork had a great flavor and the staff was helpful. It wasn’t a down side in my opinion but it was only outdoor seating. 100% will be eating there again.

Anytime we are in town we always stop here for the BBQ. Some of the best BBQ we’ve had. Highly reccomend the sampler plate (could split between two people). In the summer they have fresh local corn that you can get as a side and its delicious!! Only bad thing is they don’t really advertise when its in but we always just ask:) Definitely a must try and is worth the drive! Outdoor seating only but we always just take it togo.
