I had the lunch plate Molokai Chicken
and swapped out the mac and cheese for veggies. Perfect proportions and well balanced flavor. The place was clean and the staff was friendly.

If you’re in the mood for sticky rice, varying types of chicken chunks, this is your place. Not a knock at all, flavors were great. The macaroni side dish was good.
Standard american fast food vibe, loud, sterile, etc.
Typical drink choices of soda, more soda, sweet or unsweet tea.
If you’ve never been here, ordering or finding what’s what on their ordering consoles takes a minute to understand, like if u have no idea what’s on the menu (like us)..
Overall, 4 stars simply because it’s an american fast food place and none get 5 stars. Food tasted above average, i had their tea. No complaints, it is what it is.

Love the service I received. Food tasted great great portions & very fresh. Kam was great very attentive to everyone who walked in. Went table to table asking if everything was fine if we needed anything. Don’t see that anywhere anymore but was great to have this treatment. Definitely the best location! Drive from kck to this location just for the service!

Today just after the lunch hour I stopped by the Barry road location up north to grab lunch and dinner for myself. I had my 3 month old daughter in my arms when I ran in to order carry out. I was going to use the kiosk but I had a reward card from a my nieces school, so I had to go up to the cashier. That sweet soul of a lady (I wish I had gotten her name) was chatting it up with my daughter (3 months old) and inquired about our day. I told her I was just needed to grab some food because I was on my way to Children’s Mercy where my 2 year old daughter had been in the PICU since Friday and we were finally moved to the floor. I told her I was on my way to switch dad out so he could go rest. All while chatting I had also ordered my food and explained about wanting to use my reward card discount for the bogo classic plate. I showed her the card and she said her manager would need to approve it. He come and did so but then we all three were chatting. Talking about our children, he shared his story of his son having RSV and how his heart broke watching the nurses and team care for his son. The conversation continued and they asked why my daughter was in the hospital. I informed them about her genetic condition and her new onset of seizures. The Manager (again I wish I had gotten names) told me he knows how he felt watching his son be cared for with RSV and couldn’t imagine what my husband and I had been going through this past week. He then reached over and comped the rest of my meal. When I went to swipe my card they told me not to worry about it and that it was on them. They were so unbelievably kind and far more generous than they needed to be.
What this manager didn’t know when he said that I seemed to be strong and holding it together well was that inside I was absolutely broken. I have cried for my daughter so much this past week that I am not sure i could cry any more. I had watch my baby be put on a ventilator in an attempt to secure her airway and watched team members poke her, strip her down, and send her off to PICU where she spent 5 days before finally being able to go to a regular floor where we still do not have a projected date to go home. He also did not know that I had watched my girl have 9+ seizures since Friday or that she is going to have to relearn so many skills that she had already worked so hard in therapy to master.
Those two people showed me care, compassion, and empathy than I have never seen in a complete stranger. The cashier even carried my food out to my car while I continued to carry my 3 month old. After she hugged me and I started driving away I couldn’t help but tear up. It may have only been a 13$ charge they saved me but it was the genuine generosity and empathy that meant the most. I would have happily paid my bill and still walked away feeling like they went above and beyond by letting me talk about my baby for a minute.
I don’t know how many people will make it this far because I know this is ridiculously long but if you did, go eat here. Support a business that employs people that care and engage with the customers. And to those two kind souls, if you read this…thank you from the bottom of this Mama’s heart.

I got carryout. The packaging was ideal. The food seemed freshly made. I ordered the large size. It was enough for two meals. The seasoning was tasty on the sweet side.

First I’ll say that the meats tasted good but I was so disappointed to see that the meat portions for both the classic chicken and classic pork were padded with a lot of rice underneath. The steamed vegetables was mostly rice, definitely not as depicted on the menu picture. There was no big bites of vegetables. Carrots were shredded, no mushrooms and no bell peppers. There was mostly mushed broccoli and a whole lot of rice underneath.
