Was always curious how this place was considering there are a handful of similar places around and was hoping for it to be better. Unfortunately, as much as I love to support my island family, I was disappointed.
I ordered loco moco and chicken bbq plates – see photos. The loco moco meat (hamburger patty) is bland. Maybe that’s why they offered “extra gravy” which only opted for regular. Next, the BBQ chicken was also somewhat bland. Although, on the plus side, it wasn’t burnt or tuff. Both entrees are served on top of cabbage, carrot slices and broccoli. To which for me is somewhat unusual for an island plate. And of course, the mac salad. Which would’ve been great had it not been watery.
As for the place, it is small with maybe two tables. Looks like they do lots of catering dishes. I guess this is why it is called “Express”.

Probably the best food ive had from a Hawaiian BBQ restaurant in 30 years ,no exaggeration. The meat was perfectly cooked and the chicken didnt really even need teriyaki sauce how tasty it was ,all the way down to the broccoli which wasn’t over cooked just enough to get those vitamins .the rice was delicious and sticky and the macaroni was perfect .the bbq mix plate was perfect enough for me and my wife to share and we are stuffed definitely going back and referring all freinds and family to rush here for amazing food

The owner was a kind and friendly lady. She recommended me to add an egg on the musubi. I thought thats weird lol BUT to my suprise it was an amazing twist to something I love already. I also ordered the seafood with katsu. Was delicious, portions are healthy, I couldn’t finish it all. Will definitely go again!!

First time visiting here. Very friendly customer service. Portions are well worth the price. The Hawaiian bbq mix is huge. Small inside, but people eat and go or order to go. Highly recommend!

After I received my food I realized my order was not correct and I was overcharged . I went back in the restaurant to tell them my order was not correct and I was overcharged. I was refunded right way. In stead fixing my food and making it fresh and correct. They took the Original food back to the kitchen and put them in new containers. When I watch them do this I got a full refund.

BOMB!! Best Hawaiian bbq place in Vacaville. Great portions for the price!!They have great selection and even offer smoothies and milk teas. Definitely going back we loved our food and I want to try other items! Employees are friendly and helpful as well.

Food is always good but the service is bad and unorganized. I ordered over the phone, when I arrived they said it would be just a minute. I waited 30 minutes and asked if it’s ready only to find out my food had been sitting on the back counter the whole time.

I used to love this Hawaiian Bbq spot but recently I had a very negative experience with the service. I ended up not even ordering because that’s how rude the person (I assume to be a man) was taking my order… over the phone at that. The service here has never been great but normally it’s at least decent. I’m not sure if they’ve recently hired because judging from reviews in the last couple of months service is a common complaint. To be a Hawaiian Bbq restaurant in Vacaville, it is good BUT not good enough to put up with the poor customer service. I will not be spending my money here any more. Customer Service training advised.
