First time trying this african cuisine and I must say it was delicious. I got the jollof rice with lamb cubes. Lamb was tender with just the right amount of flavor. And for dessert i got The rice bread and OMG I thoroughly enjoyed it with my own iced coffee blend!

Food is amazing. Platters are huge. Lamb & beef are tender and flavorful. Peanut butter soup is great, alot of meat. Kinda spicy but very good. Definitely worth the money. We will be back.

I’ve been buying Liberian and African food in the Philadelphia area for a while now, and I’ve never felt the need to give a 5-star review until now. This is by far the best Liberian restaurant I’ve been to in the area, and trust me, I’ve tried them all. When you place an order and they tell you 15 minutes, believe it your food will be ready on time. They take their pre-orders very seriously, unlike many other places. The food tastes amazing truly homemade, and the people are so kind and welcoming. What really makes them stand out is their menu. They have dishes that most Liberian restaurants in the area don’t offer like fever leaf and more. It’s clear they put real care into every meal. I can see exactly why they have a 5-star rating. You guys are amazing and deserve every single customer who walks through your doors!

So I found this place doing DoorDash deliveries. And when I say a complete God-send they were……they were ☺️
The food is delicious. Great prices and amazing service. This is the only place I get my food from now lol. And they also align with my dietary restrictions with certain foods ☝
This was a major thing for me as a lot of places use Shellfish and/or Pork in majority of their soups/stews. And I had been getting upset wanting Red Oil Potatoes Greens for weeks before I found them
Anyways, you won’t be disappointed, you might have to apologize to your other food places for no longer coming and I hope you don’t eat too fast lol. They have plenty and everything you need at Hawa Hotspot…..and it’s cooked with Love
I’m so glad I found them and if you’re reading this I know you’ll enjoy ☺️

The food was great here. I ordered the Peanut Butter Soup and Grilled Fish. The owner was so kind and pleasant. I ordered in person and there was a wait quite naturally. So, she bought the food out to my vehicle. I thought that was excellent customer service.

Ok 11 out of 10. Absolutely deeelissshoouse!!! So I was grabbing so from the new el lemon( which is as good as all the el lemons) and I noticed a new African restaurant next door so I poked my head in and saw there menu and realized they a the real deal. The told me the open the following Monday, so come Monday… It’s cassava leaf and fufu and soup and it was as amazing as I predicted ❤️❤️❤️. I used to go Emma’s across from the collingdale wawa 2-3 times a week but when they closed, my heart broke and my stomach was sad. Tried a couple other spots and the flavors and recipes were completely different and it was just not good. Now, HAWA HOTSPOT got the flavors right on point, hell, even better then emmas! So, they just opened this week and tonight I’m getting my meal there again( I only eat once every day or two, I got weird appetite/ eating habits) for a third night. Every thing is delicious. If you’ve never had fufu and pepper soup, be careful because once they serve you up there recipe, nobody else’s will compare.#supportlocalbusinessesorwereallgoingtobeforcedtoeatwawas*** l
